Chapter 82 Talk 1
Chapter 82 Talk 1
Let's talk about Chapter 82
"Your house!" Ryan was suddenly startled, then felt relieved. Since it was Vio's house, they would naturally remember the help he had given them. Although he had only helped Vio, the Selwyn family had been given a chance to catch their breath and stabilize their position. Even though they were still being eroded, they were not completely defeated.
Given this past incident, the wizards in the Selwyn family, as long as they are of sound mind, will not harbor any secret grudges.
"You think everything's fine? You believe my nominal uncles and cousins will remember your help?" Vio said, as if he had guessed Ryan's thoughts, his tone full of sarcasm.
"So, all your nominal relatives are brainless?" Ryan said.
"If those people had any brains, they wouldn't have been so unable to assess the situation after Voldemort lost power." After Vio finished speaking, he pursed his lips tightly, seemingly unwilling to utter words centered on these family trees.
After all, these people's ancestors for eighteen generations were Vio's ancestors for eighteen generations.
He calmed himself down and continued, "Not only will these people not appreciate your kindness, but they will also consider your help back then a disgrace. Because your help tore away their fig leaf, in their eyes, a minor wizard helping the Selwyn family is something they can't even imagine, let alone do, because they think it's trampling on the Selwyn family's dignity."
"Think about it, one of the sacred twenty-eight races that always considers itself noble can't even protect its family property and family members. It can only let others bully it to the point that it has to be a minor wizard to come out of trouble."
He sneered, "Those people dream of torturing you, Ryan Will, to death with the most brutal methods."
"It seems I need someone trustworthy to help me manage the communications business." Ryan nodded and smiled, as if the people Vio had just mentioned weren't trying to torture him, but rather inviting him to a banquet.
"Didn't you understand what I was saying?" Vio asked gravely.
"Of course I understood." Ryan raised an eyebrow and smiled as he met Vio's gaze.
Behind the two, the crowd who had already chosen their preferred communicators whispered among themselves, wondering what novel ideas the two had up their sleeves.
Suddenly, under everyone's gaze, Vio could no longer maintain his tense expression, and an uncontrollable smile appeared on his face. At the same time, he grabbed Ryan and slapped him hard on the shoulder.
Hehehe!
They both laughed.
Amidst the somewhat bewildered gazes of the crowd, Vio, who had been laughing for a while, took a breath and asked, "Do you need any help?"
"I'll do my thing, you do yours," Ryan said.
"So, when?"
"I think I'll be able to make it to the banquet tonight."
After their seemingly nonsensical conversation ended, Vio walked to the side, took out a quill pen, and wrote something on a note. Ryan then came to the group, chatted for a while, and went to have lunch with everyone.
The large, imposing group drew the attention of all the young wizards, who were filled with envy. Their astonishment was especially palpable when they broke down the natural barriers between the four academies to eat together.
During lunch, Penelope clearly saw Vio hand Ryan a small note. Ryan read it, smiled, and then crumpled the note into powder.
This power felt like the Fireball spell had been applied to the fingertips, but could the Fireball spell be used like this?
To her even greater surprise, Ryan seemed to have altered the spell's effects, turning the raging, surging flames into tiny sparks on his fingertips!
Perhaps when the concept of "mastery" was explained back then, he couldn't yet achieve this; his progress has been truly astounding...
After lunch, Ryan waved goodbye to everyone, saying that he had something to do and would not see them again until the evening.
Curious, everyone asked questions, but Ryan skillfully deflected them with his words.
After Ryan left, Vio's words made everyone speculate even more.
He said, "There will be a gathering tonight, and I hope everyone can attend. Those with formal attire can change, and those without don't need to prepare anything special. Just remember to wear the Adventurers' Club's black and gold armband. We'll communicate using communicators. As for taking leave, please rest assured, I will discuss this with the professors."
Without waiting for anyone's reaction, he quickly got up and left.
"Ryan and those two are acting all secretive," Penelope frowned. "What do you think they're up to?"
"It's hard to say, but it shouldn't be something that happened on campus. Small things on campus wouldn't warrant such secrecy from the two of them," Pablo said. As meticulous as he was, he knew the two of them well. Considering their past, a suspicion had formed in his mind, but he wasn't sure.
"I don't think it's a school-related issue either."
"I think it might be related to the communicator. Didn't Ryan say he wanted to promote the communicator to all members of the wizarding world?"
"You mean Vio's family has connections, Ryan went to them to ask for help, and there's a good chance of success, so there's going to be a celebration party tonight?"
"Very likely!"
As Malfoy listened to the discussion, someone suddenly asked him, "You and Vio are close, do you know what's going on?"
He sensed something was wrong with the voice, turned around, and found that it was Harry asking him a question!
Harry Potter actually asked me a question, doesn't that mean I've beaten Harry Potter...? With the mindset of a victor, Malfoy mercifully said, "As far as I know, one of Vio's family's main businesses is related to the Owl Post Office in Diagon Alley."
"And you know how ineffective our Adventurers' Club's communicator is; it will drastically reduce the Owl Post Office's profits!" He raised his head. "So, Senior Ryan and the others must have gone to handle this!"
"So, Ryan is going to talk to Vio's family...:" Harry felt he understood everything.
The conversation between the two was overheard by the crowd who were deliberately eavesdropping. Apart from Penelope's mutterings, most people believed that Ryan had gone to Vio's family to make a deal.
"Talk?" Penelope gave a wry smile. "Ryan Will, I think we need to talk!"
The middle-aged wizard, Wolf-Fox, shouted loudly, as two unconscious people lay at his feet.
The Selwyn family mansion was now a scene of utter chaos, as if a bunch of video game players had stumbled upon it. Shattered crystal artifacts, broken gold utensils, and the once magnificent mahogany furniture were now littered with wood chips...
Of the three remaining adult wizards in the Selwyn family, two have already fallen.
