Chapter 64 You're changing jobs? That's fantastic!
Trainees don't have much rest time, so Kim Tae-yeon chose the most leisurely time for lunch to go out. She first bought some fruit, and hesitated slightly when she passed a flower shop.
A minute later, she held a bouquet of flowers in her hand, simply and elegantly packaged.
FFF only rented one floor in this building, but judging from how busy it was inside, Kim Tae-yeon felt that FFF would definitely have to move to a different office building within two years.
After explaining her purpose to the receptionist, Kim Tae-yeon soon saw the man she had seen in the manager's office before. She remembered that he was Kang Jung-seo's secretary.
"Taeyeon-ssi? What brings you here today... Ah~ Are you here to see the CEO?"
The male secretary sounded somewhat surprised, perhaps because he had only seen Kim Tae-yeon and she was carrying a fruit basket, which was his first thought.
Could it be that SM Entertainment's prized trainee is going to switch companies and join theirs?
This is fantastic!
He believed that his representative could definitely mold the other party into a super shining star of tomorrow!
Their FFF company is determined to dominate the entire South Korean female solo charts in the future!
"Hello, is the author in her office? I'm sorry I came without an appointment. I just... wanted to thank her," Kim Tae-yeon said somewhat awkwardly, her cheeks slightly flushed.
When I noticed the male secretary's expression change from joy to stiffness, and finally... why did he look like he hadn't heard me clearly?
"Taeyeon-ssi? Excuse me, did you just say... no, you weren't here to switch jobs?" The male secretary asked persistently, but his smile froze again when he saw Kim Taeyeon shake her head awkwardly.
How could this be...?
Just when the receptionist was feeling embarrassed by the scene, her savior appeared just in time.
Jiang Jingshu walked out holding two documents. Before she even appeared, her voice rang out, "Secretary Lin, Director Choi Dong-hoon is coming to the company for a meeting this afternoon. You...Taeyeon?"
The petite figure at the front desk looked rather pitiful, and Jiang Jingshu noticed Kim Tae-yeon immediately. She quickly walked over.
He handed the documents in his hand to his secretary and smiled, "Taeyeon, what a rare guest! Have you found SM Entertainment unfair to you and are you planning to switch companies? Of course~ FFF Company will always welcome you. I will prepare the best practice room and dressing room for you, and there will even be a recording studio."
...
It has to be said that a boss's personality often reflects his personality; Jiang Jingshu's meaning was exactly the same as Secretary Lin's.
Secretary Lin stiffly raised her hand and said dryly, "Representative, Taeyeon-ssi just came to see you. She doesn't have any intention of leaving her unscrupulous agency to join our new company and enjoy the best treatment."
Kim Tae-yeon said "..." What was he thinking?
Jiang Jingshu was somewhat disappointed that Kim Tae-yeon didn't plan to switch jobs, but she still welcomed the girl's arrival and personally led her to her office.
"Secretary Lin, please make two cups of tea. Taeyeon, please have a seat. Don't be so polite."
"Um... thank you, author."
The girl sat somewhat reservedly on the soft sofa, carefully observing Jiang Jingshu. Today, the beautiful writer was still wearing a women's suit, but the jewelry she wore was very eye-catching, and her hair seemed to have been specially done at a beauty salon, making her look very elegant.
Seeing the curves and shape of Jiang Jingshu's body as she turned to get a teacup, Kim Tae-yeon suddenly remembered that the elegant woman she had seen in the coffee shop downstairs seemed to be Jiang Jingshu.
"Why did you decide to come here today? Is it just to see me?" Jiang Jingshu glanced at the fruit basket that the girl was holding and suddenly understood the other girl's purpose.
"I came to thank the writer. Thank you so much for your help with the OST last time," Kim Tae-yeon said, not forgetting why she was there. She placed the fruit basket on the coffee table, quickly handed her the flowers she had bought, and smiled, saying, "It's just a small token of my appreciation, writer."
Jiang Jingshu took the flowers, then looked at the fruit basket. Her smile deepened, and she said gently, "Fruits! That's wonderful. They're all my favorites. The fruit basket is beautiful too. Thank you, Taeyeon!"
"You don't need to thank me," Kim Tae-yeon was about to wave her hand when Kang Jung-seo shoved a teacup into her hand.
"Have some tea. This is black tea that Mads brought back from England. It's alright, but I prefer Chinese pre-Qingming Longjing tea. Perfect!"
When Secretary Lin came in, Jiang Jingshu took the teapot and then took an unopened box of tea from the shelf next to her and placed it in the girl's hand.
"Take this home and try it. This tea has a very good taste and a wonderful aroma. Sometimes when you drink too much coffee, it's nice to have a change of pace. Please don't refuse it; just think of it as... a small gift from an elder."
Kim Tae-yeon looked at the tea in her hand. Judging from the packaging, it said "valuable." She felt this was no small gift!
She stayed in the office for almost half an hour. Because the lunch break was short and she had used her lunch break time, she had to go back soon.
After noticing the time, Jiang Jingshu didn't ask the girl if she had eaten. Instead, she went downstairs with her and invited her to a coffee shop.
He bought too many snacks, desserts, and small breads, and then used a small excuse to give some of them to the girl.
"It's a low-calorie bread, but this dessert is a bit high in calories. However, you guys are very active, so you'll burn off the calories. Don't worry."
Upon hearing this, Kim Tae-yeon felt like she didn't even know how she got back to the company. All she could think about was Kang Jung-seo's elegant and gentle smiling face. That feeling... almost made her want to call her mom.
By the time she got back to the practice room, she had already eaten a loaf of bread for that short journey. It tasted pretty good; at least it filled her up and wasn't too dry.
I brought a fruit basket to express my gratitude, but the return gift seemed to be even more valuable.
The practice room was quiet. Everyone took advantage of the lunch break to huddle near the air conditioner for a nap. Kim Tae-yeon tidied up her things and then took out several blankets from the cabinet and covered them with them one by one.
She could faintly hear someone talking in their sleep. She tried to make out what it was, but she couldn't, so she gave up.
I received a text message from Jiang Youzhen on my phone. It was still a long post. I calculated the time difference in New York and wondered if he wasn't planning to go to sleep or if he had already had a short rest.
In reality... Kang Woo-jin didn't have much extra time to sleep. He was sitting in his apartment, looking at the electronic script on his computer.
Even before his first film was released, he was already working on his new project.
It can't really be considered a new work; it's a new idea he came up with after entering university, but he just hasn't had time to write it down.
During the brainstorming session, he could also see the gentle, comforting text message he received from the girl on his phone, which made him feel much better.
