Chapter 85 Comprehensive Survey of Elementary School Students' Outings
Chapter 85 Comprehensive Survey of Elementary School Students' Outings
Knock knock knock.
The knocking was both soft and urgent, as if afraid no one would hear it.
Su Yu closed his suitcase, got up, and opened the door.
Unexpectedly, standing outside the door was Dilraba. She was wearing a long white nightgown with a fluffy coat over it, her long hair was loose over her shoulders, and she was wearing a pair of disposable hotel slippers.
She looked both excited and a little embarrassed, like a little rabbit sneaking out of its burrow in the middle of the night.
"Su Yu," she called his name in a low voice, her big eyes blinking, "Are you not asleep?"
Do I look like I'm asleep?
Su Yu leaned against the door frame, looking at her with a puzzled expression.
"Then why don't you reply to my WeChat messages?"
Su Yu took out his phone and saw that, sure enough, there were three unread messages from Dilraba on the screen.
[Reba]: Su Yu!!! We're going to Changbai Mountain tomorrow!!!
[Dilraba]: I can't sleep!! I'm so excited!!
[Reba]: Are you asleep yet??
"I was packing my luggage and didn't check my phone."
Su Yu put his phone back in his pocket. "Want to come in and talk?"
"Uh-huh!"
Reba nodded vigorously, and Su Yu stepped aside to let her in.
"Do you have a medical condition related to elementary school students going on field trips?"
"What kind of recruitment notice is this for elementary school students going on a field trip?!"
As soon as Dilraba entered the room, she bounced around a couple of times, like a popping candy that had been put on a spring and couldn't stop.
She turned to look at Su Yu, her eyes sparkling, her voice full of excitement.
"This is Changbai Mountain! We're all going together this time, it's practically a free vacation, who could sleep soundly on such a good deal!"
"I sent you to film a movie, not on vacation," Su Yu said helplessly.
"Anyway, I don't have many scenes, so I can just follow Honey around. Hehehe, I definitely have to have a lot of fun this time, right?"
Su Yu couldn't help but smile as he looked at her.
"I'd like to, but it depends on the director's arrangements."
"Have you packed everything?" Su Yu opened his suitcase and looked up at Dilraba.
"I packed it a long time ago. I started packing as soon as I got back, and now I'm just waiting to leave."
"Then wait for me a moment, I haven't finished packing yet."
Dilraba sat cross-legged on the sofa, watching Su Yu walk around the room.
"Su Yu, do you think I should make a travel guide?"
"Su Yu, do you think there might be wolves on the mountain?"
"Su Yu..."
Reba kept chattering away.
After about ten minutes, Su Yu finally finished tidying everything up.
"Reba, I'm going to take a shower. Wait for me a little longer."
"Oh...ah? Oh, go ahead, I promise I won't peek." Dilraba glanced at Su Yu with a grin.
"If you want to see, why don't you come and shower with me?" Su Yu looked Reba up and down and teased.
"Huh, is that okay?"
Reba chuckled mischievously. Knowing she was joking, Su Yu ignored her and headed straight for the bathroom.
Splash splash~ Splash splash~
Dilraba listened to the babbling water on the sofa, but her heart was pounding like a deer as she looked at her phone, and she couldn't calm down at all.
Fortunately, the sound of water stopped not long after, and Su Yu came out wearing only a bathrobe.
"Damn it, Su Yu! That's too much!" Dilraba pretended to dodge, but her eyes never left him.
"Tch, I told you, if you wanted to watch, you could shower with me. What's the point of peeking now?"
"Pah! Who peeked!"
Su Yu walked back to the bedside and sat down, leaning against the headboard. He picked up the half-read physical copy of "The Grave Robbers' Chronicles" from the bedside table and waved it at her:
"Stop looking at me, come read a book. You'll find beauty in books. Want to come and read with me?"
"I don't know if it's in the book, but if I go there, wouldn't that mean I have beautiful women all the time in my bed?"
Su Yu coughed lightly twice, looking at Dilraba, unsure of what to say:
"Then you sit there and play for a while, I'll read a book."
Dilraba glanced at Su Yu, then at the bed beneath him, and suddenly felt a little conflicted. If Sister Mi found out that she had run into a male actor's room in the middle of the night, she would definitely get a scolding.
But when you're next to Su Yu, watching him lean against the headboard, flipping through a book, he exudes a kind of inexplicable sense of comfort and relaxation.
"What...books are you reading?"
Dilraba shifted on the sofa, her long legs together, her hands neatly placed on her knees, like a primary school student answering questions in class.
"It's from the original novel, *The Grave Robbers' Chronicles*." Su Yu was engrossed in reading, not even looking up.
"I'm watching the scene from The Heavenly Palace on the Clouds right now. We're going to film the scene with the Bronze Gate in a couple of days, so I'm getting a feel for it beforehand."
"oh."
Dilraba leaned against the sofa armrest, resting her chin on her hands, staring at him intently.
The room was quiet, with only the rustling of the wind and the soft sound of turning pages.
The bedside lamp outlined a clean profile of Su Yu as he read, from his brow bone to his nose to his chin, as neat as a sketch.
His fingers were also beautiful; he turned pages very gently, occasionally pausing on a particular page to read for a few more seconds, his eyelashes lowered, his lips moving silently, clearly savoring a line from the book.
As Reba watched his focused expression, her heart raced. However, the environment was so hypnotic that her eyelids soon began to feel heavy.
That initial excitement was gradually melted away by the sense of security she felt while staying by Su Yu's side.
She tried to open her eyes, but Su Yu's rhythm of turning the pages was so regular, like a hypnotic metronome. Before long, her head slid off the sofa armrest, tilted to one side, and finally she curled up silently in the corner of the sofa.
Su Yu noticed that the room had suddenly become very quiet. He looked up and saw Reba curled up in the corner of the sofa, her legs rolled up, her head tilted against the back of the sofa, and her lips slightly parted, sleeping like a little kitten that was drowsy from being warmed by the heater in winter.
He checked the time and realized it was already past eleven.
Without thinking much, Su Yu stood up, walked to the sofa, put one hand under her knees and the other hand on her back, and lifted her up in his arms.
She looked to have a large frame, but she was very light to the touch. Her body was as soft as a lump of dough, and as soon as I picked her up, her head naturally rested on his shoulder.
Su Yu put her on the bed, pulled the blanket over her, and turned off the light with a snap.
Then he lifted the covers and lay down. Anyway, the bed was big enough, so the two of them could each take half, with some space between them.
"I hope Dilraba won't steal the blanket?" Su Yu thought to himself.
Practice makes perfect. In the middle of the night, Su Yu suddenly felt a chill on his body and woke up in a daze, only to find that Reba had pulled all the blankets away.
After some effort, Reba was still groaning and moaning in a daze.
