Chapter 1: Finish eating and run away
Chapter 1: Finish eating and run away
April 1, 2015, Osaka, Japan.
A beautiful woman, wearing a bathrobe, with tear stains still wet at the corners of her eyes, gazed pitifully at the man before her.
The man was in his early twenties, his fair skin glowing under the light, and his powerful physique exuding a powerful aura of hormones.
"Lin Yuan-san, please don't leave, I...I..."
Lin Yuan was terrified by those words. He practically leaped out of bed, frantically putting on his clothes, and blurted out, "Miss Mieko is joking. I don't like to take leftovers home..." Before he could finish speaking, he had already rushed out the door and fled the scene without looking back.
Mieko watched his retreating figure with a gloomy expression. "Lin Yuan-san, we will definitely meet again."
On the street, Lin Yuan, a cigarette dangling from his lips, couldn't help but shudder as he recalled the beautiful woman's affectionate gaze. He only wanted to earn some money for the journey to Seoul; he didn't want to stay here indefinitely.
Having lived two lives, he had never been so speechless.
Yes, he traveled through time.
He transmigrated into the body of a pitiful wretch who ran away from home and intended to seek refuge with his childhood friend. However, this identity was rather absurd: his father was Chinese, his mother was Korean, and he was born in the United States, thus naturally acquiring American citizenship.
The thought made him furious. It was one thing to run away from home because he didn't want to go on a blind date, but for a grown man in his early twenties to lose his wallet—did this guy simply not have a brain?
He pulled out the last bit of money from his pocket and counted it: three million yen, which is less than 130,000 yuan. This huge sum was enough to buy a plane ticket back to South Korea.
The next morning at 10:00 AM, Seoul International Airport.
Lin Yuan carried his only possession, a travel bag given to him by the gym. He walked out of the airport, hailed a taxi, and gave the driver a destination: "Driver, to Loen Entertainment."
"Alright!"
The scenery outside the car window in Seoul in April was delightful, with cherry blossoms in full bloom on both sides of the street, their pink petals beautiful.
The driver glanced at him through the rearview mirror and asked curiously, "Handsome, are you here for tourism? Most people come to check out the three major tourist attractions, but you're the first one I've seen who goes to Loen."
"I'm here to visit relatives, not for tourism," Lin Yuan replied helplessly.
He didn't want to come either. Why would a perfectly good rich young master like him choose to come here and suffer?
An hour later, the car stopped a few hundred meters from Loen Entertainment. Looking at the numbers flashing on the meter, Lin Yuan reluctantly paid the fare, standing there staring at the not-so-long street, cursing inwardly: "Damn, why are taxis so expensive in developed countries?"
He was too lazy to walk any further, so he decided to make a phone call to have someone come and pick him up.
He rummaged in his pocket and thankfully the driver had given him some change. There happened to be an old-fashioned public phone booth by the roadside. Lin Yuan felt like he'd been tricked by capital; how could he keep running into all sorts of things?
I dialed the number from memory.
"Beep~ Beep~"
"Oh, not stuffy?"
Upon hearing that familiar voice, Lin Yuan instantly became a drama queen, bursting into heart-wrenching sobs as if he had suffered a tremendous injustice: "Xiao En, help me!!!"
"Mo? Lin Yuan? Where are you?" The voice on the other end of the phone was clearly panicked.
"I...I'm in a phone booth less than 200 meters away from Loen, please come quickly!" Lin Yuan cried, unable to catch his breath.
Xiao En on the other end of the phone was clearly frightened. She hurriedly answered and hung up. You could vaguely hear her anxiously asking someone for leave.
A moment later, Lee Ji-eun came running over, panting heavily. The legendary phone booth was surrounded by layers upon layers of people. She struggled to push her way through the crowd, but the scene before her left her speechless.
Lin Yuan, who was crying so hard on the phone that he was about to stop, was now holding a sandwich in one hand and a banana milk in the other, surrounded by two or three young and beautiful girls, eating with great relish.
"Jessica is the prettiest member of Girls' Generation. As for Yoona... she's just so-so, nothing special." Lin Yuan mumbled his nonsense while chewing on his bread.
The girls immediately protested, their cheeks flushed red, "No, that's not true! Yoona is the prettiest! I only bought you food because you said Yoona is the prettiest, you...you're lying, give me back my food!"
Lin Yuan slowly took a sip of milk, swallowed the bread in his mouth, rubbed his chin, and said with a smile, "Sure, call me Oppa and I'll give it back to you."
"No...no!!!"
"Lin!!! Yuan!!!"
"Damn it! I really want to punch this brat, he looks like a total scumbag."
Three distinct voices rang out almost simultaneously. Lee Ji-eun stormed forward and slapped him on the forehead: "Get up! You've disgraced my people!"
She took out her wallet, pulled out a few bills, and handed them to the girls: "Go home, all of you. Don't get scammed in the future, especially by handsome men."
The girls took the money, thanked him politely, and left. However, the next second, the shy girl from before ran back to Lin Yuan, lowered her head, and, fiddling with her skirt, whispered, "Um, I...can I have your phone number?"
Lin Yuan was still a little dazed from the slap he had just received. He only came to his senses after hearing the girl's voice: "Sure, but I lost my phone. Write down the number and I'll call you when I get back."
"Yes, my name is Huang Lizhi." The girl quickly wrote down her number and stuffed it into his hand, then ran away blushing.
Lin Yuan looked at the slip of paper in his hand. It had a string of numbers on it and a faint scent of hand cream.
"Hwang Yee-ji."
He muttered to himself, then suddenly realized what was happening.
Hwang Ye-ji? The Hwang Ye-ji from ITZY?
The image of a girl with long, slender, fox-like eyes flashed into his mind. Yes, it was Hwang Ye-ji, the girl who had been isolated since childhood because of her unique eye shape and would one day become the leader of the monster girl group ITZY.
As the crowd gradually dispersed, Li Zhi'en saw that he was still in a daze and became furious, so she kicked him.
"Aww~"
Lin Yuan stumbled and almost fell into the phone booth. "Hey, Lee Ji-eun, are you crazy?"
Lee Ji-eun was startled by his shout and quickly covered his mouth, gritting her teeth and whispering, "Dare you shout any louder? Do you only feel happy when the paparazzi take pictures of us?"
At this moment, Lin Yuan in her arms suddenly began to struggle violently. Li Zhi'en looked down and saw that his face was flushed and slightly turning purple, which frightened her so much that she immediately let go of him.
It smells delicious and is very soft.
"Cough cough...cough cough cough." Lin Yuan took deep breaths of fresh air, and his complexion gradually returned to normal. He felt like he had almost gone to see his great-grandmother.
Lee Ji-eun scratched her head somewhat embarrassedly: "Mian, I... I didn't mean to."
Lin Yuan took a deep breath to calm himself down. This was clearly not the place to talk. He glanced around and saw a coffee shop across the street, so he led her inside.
The two iced Americanos were naturally paid for with Lee Ji-eun's card.
The two sat down in a corner. Seeing that the shop wasn't crowded, Lee Ji-eun removed her mask, leaving only a hat to conceal her identity. Only after the waiter brought the coffee and left did she finally ask the question that had been bothering her: "Why are you in Seoul? Didn't Aunt Mi-ran tell you to go on a blind date?"
Upon hearing this, Lin Yuan immediately perked up, as if he had suffered a great injustice, and poured out all his grievances.
"You have no idea! My mom actually made me come to Korea alone for a blind date, and she even said the other person is a celebrity. Isn't that ridiculous? Do you think I'm worried no one will want me?"
Lin Yuan felt increasingly that his mother was unreliable. He felt that he was interfering with the couple's affection at home, and that's why he was sent away with some random excuse.
Otherwise, the original owner wouldn't have ended up in Japan, working himself to the bone at part-time jobs, and ultimately overworking himself to the point of transmigrating.
