Chapter 6 The Child Has Grown Up [Please Read On]
One Bailey Apartments.
This is the property that Lee Ji-eun bought after she became wealthy. It has two units on one floor, and she bought them all so that she wouldn't be disturbed.
As one of the top luxury apartments in South Korea, it offers unparalleled privacy. Apart from the owners, anyone who wants to go upstairs must go through the housekeeper and obtain the owner's permission before bringing anyone up, and the housekeeper will accompany them throughout the process.
"Ding!" The elevator stopped on the 13th floor.
Lin Yuan walked out with Li Zhi'en's help.
There are only two apartments on the entire 13th floor, separated by a corridor. Several motion-sensor lights on the ceiling slowly turn on and then slowly turn off as the footsteps fade away.
Upon arriving at the door of 1302, Lee Ji-eun pressed her thumb on the door, and the lock opened immediately.
I opened the door, fumbled for the switch, and the warm yellow crystal chandelier lit up instantly.
"We only have women's slippers for now, so please make do with these for now. We'll go buy more tomorrow."
Lee Ji-eun settled him on the shoe-changing stool, opened the shoe cabinet, took out a pair of slippers, and tossed them at his feet.
Lin Yuan tentatively bent over, "Ouch~" He changed his approach and tried bending down sideways.
"Alright, I'll do it." Lee Ji-eun couldn't bear to see him struggling like that, so she knelt down and helped him untie his shoelaces.
"Thanks." She rubbed her feet together and quickly changed into her slippers.
Only then did he have time to look around the house.
The house isn't big, but it's clean and bright.
The layout is open and airy, with the living room, open kitchen, and balcony connected by only a long countertop.
The huge floor-to-ceiling windows were fully opened, and the white curtains fluttered in the wind, carrying a unique scent.
What's ahead?
Lin Yuan asked curiously.
"Han River".
Lee Ji-eun, who was helping him turn on the toilet in the bathroom, replied subconsciously.
No wonder.
No wonder it tasted so strange, it's from the Han River.
As is widely known, the Han River is called "Korea's Viagra," and according to reports from relevant departments, drinking the water of the Han River can also enhance male virility.
"The water's ready. What were you saying just now?" Lee Ji-eun wiped her hands and came out. She thought she heard him say something about 'river'?
"It's nothing, could you please help me up?"
Lee Ji-eun rolled her eyes at him, "I really owe you something." Although she was sarcastic, her hands didn't stop moving.
The bathroom was very hot, with large plumes of steam floating in the air. Lee Ji-eun struggled to help him to the bathtub, her breathing rapid and her face flushed.
"Phew~ You can take care of the rest yourself. Remember to soak for a while longer. I'm heading back now."
Lee Ji-eun fluttered her hand around her collar, the water vapor mixed with sweat clinging to her body. Her white shirt was soaked through, and the black underneath was faintly visible.
"Did you hear that?"
Lee Ji-eun wondered why he wasn't saying anything. She turned her head and saw him staring straight ahead, sitting there blankly.
Following his gaze, which landed on her chest, she exclaimed, "Ah!! You scoundrel! You pervert!"
Lee Ji-eun ran quickly out of the bathroom, slammed the door shut, leaned against it, and kept patting her chest with her small hands.
Just then, Lin Yuan's voice came from inside, "I really didn't mean to. Didn't you see me taking a bath when we were kids?"
Lee Ji-eun recalled that scene and said coquettishly, "Shut up, go take your shower. I live right across from you, so don't bother me."
Lin Yuan was in a difficult position, unable to explain himself, especially since he was the one at fault. He had to admit she had good taste; he liked her very much.
Lee Ji-eun blushed and quickly ran back to her house, locked the door, and stood at the door fanning herself to suppress her inner turmoil.
"What's so interesting about this? It's just some fabric."
She lowered her head, pulled open her collar, and looked down along the neckline. "Nothing special about it." She then touched it to feel it.
"Eek~"
"Oh my god, it must be because of Lin Yuan's influence, that damned rogue," Lee Ji-eun muttered shyly.
She blamed everything on Lin Yuan, grabbed her clothes, and went into the bathroom.
--------
While taking a bath, Lin Yuan suddenly felt a chill down his back. He turned around and saw that it was just a metal flexible tube. "It's alright now," he thought. "I thought someone was cursing me behind my back."
"I love taking baths, my skin feels so good~"
........
At 7 a.m., Lin Yuan woke up from his sleep and was about to stretch when he exclaimed, "Oh my god, why does it hurt so much?"
Well, he didn't even dare to move, let alone stretch.
Yesterday, that little devil Lychee really wore him out. She made him bend over backwards and do splits. He had never experienced such a high level of activity in his two lifetimes. It was torture.
Although the original owner had a hobby of fitness in his memories, he didn't. Apart from working hard on his "part-time job," his biggest exercise every day was in the hotel, where he was breathing in carbon dioxide mixed with fragrance.
It seems we should put running, a simple form of exercise, on the agenda.
I glanced at my phone and didn't receive any messages from Lee Ji-eun, so she probably hadn't woken up yet.
Lin Yuan finally managed to move himself to the sink and slowly brushed his teeth and washed his face. He was almost sweating by the time he finished doing all that.
With trembling hands, he took off his pajama bottoms, went to the bathroom, and then went to the balcony.
The weather is great, the sun is shining, it's a wonderful day.
After closing my eyes and breathing in some fresh air, the awful smell of hormones faded considerably.
"Ding-dong~"
The doorbell rang; it was Lee Ji-eun.
"Come in, I'm not feeling well." Lin Yuan shouted into the living room. Fortunately, the space wasn't large, and his voice carried clearly to the door.
Upon hearing his voice, Lee Ji-eun opened the fingerprint lock and came in, carrying a bag that looked like takeout.
Lee Ji-eun arrived at the dining table, where breakfast was neatly laid out. "Come and have breakfast. I have a schedule today, so you can go to the company by yourself in a bit." Then she remembered that her car was broken down in the parking garage. "Taking the bus would be more convenient."
Lin Yuan walked over and sat down, lifting the lids one by one to reveal a Chinese breakfast.
A warm feeling washed over him. "Thank you," he thought. This was the first time someone had ever cared about him like this.
Lee Ji-eun was taken aback, not understanding why he was being so polite, but she accepted it nonetheless.
I ate with him for a while and then received a phone call. "Okay, I'm coming down now." I wiped my mouth with a tissue. "I'm leaving now, I'll pick you up from the company tonight."
Just then, Lin Yuan saw an envelope on the table. He grabbed the envelope and was about to catch up with her when his phone beeped. He opened it and saw a message from Lee Ji-eun.
The envelope is for you; remember to read it.
Was it left for me? Could it be a love letter or something? Do people still use such an old-fashioned method these days?
Upon opening the envelope, an Asiana Bank card fell out, with a note attached to it.
[The password is your birthday. Remember to buy some clothes; don't rush to return it to me.]
He twirled the card in his hand, thinking, "Heh, this little girl is quite sensible; she knows how to be considerate."
