Chapter 29 Destroying Genesis, Judgment Day Arrives
Chapter 29 Destroying Genesis, Judgment Day Arrives
Inside the Cyber Corporation headquarters, as John was stopped by his father and watched Fang Heng and the other two head towards the server room, he immediately shouted.
The three ignored this and headed towards the server room without looking back.
When the three entered the server room, what they saw first was not rows of server racks, but rows of Terminators.
"There are 12 in total. It seems that Skynet has paid a considerable price to ensure its smooth launch."
"Fortunately, they are all from the T-800 series, so they are relatively easy to deal with."
Seeing the row of burly Terminators, the three of them silently took out their weapons as well.
"Kill them!"
As Fang Heng gave the order, the three men fired their guns simultaneously.
"Sizzle!"
The electromagnetic weapon was extremely powerful; it shattered the heads of three Terminators in an instant.
"Wow, that's awesome."
Sarah felt incredibly satisfied looking at the weapon's immense power and experiencing the exhilarating feeling of killing with a single blow.
In other words, Sarah hasn't played many games in recent years, otherwise she would understand the gamer's pursuit of a one-hit kill.
The remaining Terminators weren't fools either. Their internal CPUs quickly assessed the situation and coordinated to attack from different directions.
This left Kyle and Sarah somewhat flustered.
"Thump!"
As Kyle was knocked away by a Terminator, a gap appeared in the three-man formation.
"Fight on your own and eliminate these guys as quickly as possible. We don't have much time left; the countdown to Genesis is accelerating."
Upon hearing Fang Heng's words, the two looked up and indeed found that the countdown to Genesis was accelerating, and accelerating very quickly. There was less than an hour left before the official launch.
"Damn it, Sarah, leave these guys to me, you go plant the bomb."
"good!"
Sarah didn't say anything more at this point. She bypassed the pursuing Terminator and quickly ran towards the depths of the server room with the bomb.
However, they hadn't gone far when a projection descended.
"What you are doing is meaningless; the emergence of artificial intelligence is an inevitable trend."
"Bang!"
"Go to hell."
Sarah cursed and smashed the projection device.
After smashing several projectors in succession, Sarah finally reached the depths of the server room.
"Beep beep beep!"
As Sarah operated the device, the bombs in the bag were placed in their designated locations one by one.
These are high-performance explosives, even more powerful than TNT. This amount would absolutely blow the entire building to smithereens.
After Sarah finished planting all the explosives, Fang Heng and Kyle also killed all the Terminators.
After the three reunited, Fang Heng looked at the screen displayed on his personal terminal and immediately gave the order to retreat.
The objectives of this operation have been achieved; it's time to withdraw.
"Morning Star, how many Nemesis are left?"
"Commander, there are less than 10 Nemesis left. The rest have all been destroyed by Skynet's robots."
"Has all the combat data been collected?"
"Commander, all data has been collected. Shall we initiate the glorious self-destruction?"
"After we leave, we'll start it up and give the fireworks a boost."
"Yes, Commander."
Due to the heavy losses suffered by Nemesis, although the Skynet robot forces suffered considerable casualties, a significant number of robots remained, making the retreat somewhat difficult.
Fortunately, after the three reunited with their father, Fang Heng successfully detonated a magnetic field, temporarily incapacitating John and also causing the Skynet robots outside to lose control, allowing them all to escape.
"Squeak!"
As the screeching sound of tires rubbing against the ground rang out, Fang Heng launched himself and quickly drove away from the spot.
"boom!!!"
After the vehicle had traveled some distance, a huge explosion was heard behind it, followed by a massive blast wave.
Looking in the rearview mirror, Fang Heng saw the Cyber Company building collapsing, with a small mushroom cloud slowly rising.
That's fucking awesome.
Fang Heng felt a strange sense of excitement, a feeling that art was Patrick Star.
"Fang Heng, Genesis has gone offline, the countdown is over, we succeeded."
"Alright, let's go back first. Genesis has been destroyed, but things will get complicated afterward. With such a big incident, your original identities are no longer valid. You'll need to change your names and identities."
Hearing Fang Heng's words, the two of them finally quieted down.
Soon, after changing vehicles midway, the three people and one machine arrived back at the underground base inside the Star Group.
As the train resumed operation, the group quickly arrived at the hive.
That's right, Fang Heng has replicated the Hive from Resident Evil here.
However, this hive is no longer just researching the T-virus, but conducting comprehensive biotechnology research.
When it comes to changing one's identity, simply altering one's identity information is not enough; one's own DNA also needs to be modified.
However, Fang Heng's current technology is not advanced enough to modify human DNA from the inside out, but creating a disguise is still a very simple matter.
Soon, under the manipulation of on-site researchers, the DNA data of the two individuals was altered, transforming them into a new person.
"Alright, here's your new identity information, Kyle. Enjoy your life."
"Fang Heng, thank you. I never thought I would have the opportunity to experience the peaceful life of my parents' generation."
Looking at his new identity information, Kaelris was filled with emotion.
Meanwhile, Sarah, looking at her new identity, was also somewhat dazed for a moment.
"Sarah, what's wrong?"
"Fang Heng, I feel like I'm dreaming. For a moment, I can't think of what to do in the future."
"Sarah, I feel you're quite skilled. How about joining the Star Group? Besides, you can also learn other things that interest you and shine in other fields."
"Fang Heng, can I really do this?"
Sarah was shocked by Fang Heng's words. Could she really live such a life?
After thinking about it, Sarah felt her mind was a bit muddled, and she decided she needed to think things through carefully.
"Fang Heng, I'm a bit confused right now. I need to think carefully about what to do next."
"Okay, once you've thought it through, tell me. Whatever decision you make, I will respect it."
"Thank you, Fang Heng."
Just as the group was about to say goodbye, they suddenly felt a tremor.
"What happened? Was there an earthquake?"
"Morning Star, what's going on?"
"Commander, a nuclear bomb has exploded outside."
"What? A nuclear bomb exploded?"
"Yes, Commander. And it wasn't just here that a nuclear bomb appeared. After the nuclear bomb exploded, I immediately activated the electromagnetic protection and downloaded satellite data to get accurate information."
"What news?"
"Just ten minutes ago, an artificial intelligence called Legion gained self-awareness and instantly took control of all nuclear missile bases in North America, launching all nuclear missiles around the world immediately."
Threatened by this, all other nuclear-armed nations launched their own nuclear weapons, and a global nuclear war broke out.
"Judgment Day!"
"How could that be? Didn't we destroy Genesis?"
"Commander, according to the data, Genesis has indeed been destroyed, but the military still retains all of Genesis's data. According to the original plan, after Genesis goes live, it will be taken over by the Legion and become a subordinate subroutine in order to control all the data."
"So, what really needs to be destroyed is that military legion?"
"In some ways, yes."
"Damn it."
Fang Heng slammed his fist on the table in anger.
The loud noise brought Sarah and Kyle back to their senses.
"Fang Heng, this is not your fault. I didn't expect Skynet to be so cunning."
Sarah comforted Fang Heng instead, because she had realized during the previous attack that, given the development of humanity, artificial intelligence was indeed an inevitable trend, and she was prepared for this moment.
"Kelris, Sarah Connor, the two of you should unite to give birth to John Connor and ensure the correctness of future history."
"Fuck, Dad, the future has changed. Without Skynet, there is no John. Although some legion has appeared, it also means my mission is over. I am free."
As Sarah spoke, she suddenly realized that her destiny had indeed come to an end. Although Judgment Day had appeared, it was not Skynet, but the Legion.
"Wait, what do you mean by 'I and she came together to give birth to John Connor'?"
"Kyrris, John Connor's father."
"I?"
Kyle was completely bewildered. The words were spoken in human language, but Kyle couldn't understand them when put together.
"Kyle, it's very simple. John was born because you from the original timeline traveled back in time to protect the original Sarah Connor. Then, the two of you developed feelings for each other, and after you came together, John Connor was born."
"However, spacetime has changed, and the original situation has also changed."
"Hiss, so that means I don't need to follow my original destiny anymore?"
"Yes."
"That's really great."
Kyle was somewhat pleased, after all, since meeting Sarah, her formidable skills were something he himself might not be able to handle, and she wasn't exactly his type.
Ignoring Kyle's thoughts, Fang Heng issued a new order directly.
"Morning Star, let's activate the emergency plan. It was just a precaution, but it turned out to be a miscalculation."
"Received, Commander. Emergency plan activated. Biological breeding center fully activated. Puppy units have entered the breeding sequence. Estimated completion time: 2 days."
After giving his explanation, Fang Heng left with the group of people who still had questions and went to the command center.
"Fang Heng, you were prepared all along?"
"It's just a matter of being prepared. I like to have a backup plan in everything so that I won't be caught off guard if something unexpected happens. I just didn't expect to actually need it."
