Chapter 22 The Boss
Chapter 22 The Boss
The surging blue light was immense and swallowed him whole in a horrified gaze.
Old Tang's eyes widened as he felt something surging within his bloodline, a majestic power coursing through him and spreading from beneath him.
With a whoosh, the metal on the ground melted instantly, burning red-hot before solidifying again, transforming into a metal slingshot containing internal stress.
Riding on the metal slingshot, Old Tang was pulled away at lightning speed, like a motorcycle robber. He grabbed Jiu De Mai by the neck and yelled, "Run!"
Mai Shutoku was swept away by a tremendous force. Staring in shock at the metal beneath her, she murmured, "Alchemy? This is alchemy?"
Old Tang didn't answer him; he could only focus on escaping the plague god behind him.
Blue light scattered like missile beams, cutting the entire hospital almost into a thousand holes. Old Tang calmly used the reinforced concrete inside the walls to create metal slingshots in an instant.
He pressed down, bounced up, and flew away, mechanically performing this action, just to escape Su An, whose eyes were burning with blue light.
"quick!"
"quick!"
"Faster!
Old Tang, dragging Jiu Dema Yi along, scurried back and forth like rats in the street, turning their heads, swaying their bodies, bending over, and making all sorts of unbelievable evasive maneuvers in the air, all in an attempt to escape the pursuit of the blue light.
But even if they escaped as fast as they could, it still wasn't fast enough, far from enough.
Su An was actually in a strange state at this moment. His consciousness was not clear, but rather he was adapting to the physical techniques coming from Gojo Satoru's body.
Endless knowledge, experience, thoughts, and deadly moves slowly rose within this body, and the fighting instinct dominated Su An's body.
Before he fully adapts to this body, he will identify every being that harbors murderous intent and hostility, and eliminate them directly.
The blue light, like a Gatling gun, repeatedly sliced, crushed, and compressed the hospital, annihilating the space. No matter how hard Jiu Demai and Lao Tang tried, they couldn't escape.
With a loud crash, the load-bearing wall collapsed, leaving a small space that, like a cage, trapped Jiu Demai and Lao Tang.
A slightly thin figure blocked the exit. Su An stood there, and although he looked frail, he was still awe-inspiring.
"It seems we're going to die..."
Old Tang put down his wine and hempen clothes, silently lit a cigarette, and the faint red light flickered in the darkness.
"What do you mean 'die'?!"
Mai Shude gritted her teeth and snapped like a wildcat. She quickly fiddled with the scabbard and pulled out a syringe from under the hilt. The syringe glowed with a dazzling blue light.
"Evolve!"
Without hesitation, the needle was inserted into her fair arm, and the blue fluorescence flowed through the needle into her veins and then back into her body.
A powerful heartbeat resounded like a war drum. Mai Shude had changed; her eyes shone like the sun, her body was covered in fine scales, and grotesque bone spurs jutted out from her joints.
She was no longer the elegant, long-legged ninja, but a genuine monster! Her bone spurs were ferocious, her golden eyes gleamed, and the two blades in her hands flashed like moonlight as they slashed wildly toward Su An's head.
Ame no Habakiri and Futsu no Mitama are divine weapons from Japanese mythology. These two sharp blades shone brighter than moonlight in the darkness. A chilling killing intent gathered in the cold wind and slashed towards Su An's waist.
Mai Shude never dared to kill Su An; she only hoped to hinder him for a little longer, even if it was just for a short while.
But she was disappointed. The two divine weapons had no effect whatsoever. When Han Feng approached Su An, he did not dodge or avoid, but reached out to grab him.
"What?!"
Even someone as composed as Jiu De Mai couldn't help but cry out in surprise. No one had ever dared to use their bare body to shake the blades of these two swords; they were divine weapons that had appeared in mythology.
The Amaterasu no Omikami's Ame no Habakiri and the Takemikazuchi no Futsu no Mitama, two renowned swords, are less impressive in Su An's hands than a radish knife that a child on the subway might play with.
Just then, Su An took a light step forward, stretched out his palm, and was about to gently grasp the knife of Jiu Demai.
"What a joke! There's a limit to insults!"
With gritted teeth and furious roar, the twin swords in her hands suddenly changed direction. After flashing, the originally straight blades reappeared in front of Su An's neck!
This is a type of swordsmanship called "Bian Dao" (变刀). Its simple name is stained with the blood of countless people who died here. Every moment in battle is precious.
Even the slightest speed advantage is a victory!
But the boy didn't dodge or evade; he simply faced the double sword strikes head-on.
Just as Mai Shude was about to reveal a victorious smile, she suddenly froze, because her sword was blocked.
Like a clay ox sinking into the sea, her knife was mysteriously trapped three inches in front of Su An, unable to advance any further.
Mai Shude gritted her teeth, drew her sword, spun it, and slashed again!
The knife swung so fast it almost became a whirlwind, the blade viciously climbing up Su An's face, but then immediately stopped again.
It was so close!
He could have been killed if he had gone in just three inches further!
Su An grabbed the scabbard at her waist, kicked away Mai Shude's Ame no Habakiri, and Mai Shude instantly lost her balance. With a thud, the scabbard in Su An's hand struck Mai Shude's waist viciously, and Mai Shude's body went limp, falling to the ground.
This time, when the blue light reappeared from the boy's hand, she finally showed despair!
With a sharp sound, Old Tang seized Su An's weakness and unleashed the miraculous power of the Stress Steel Alchemy Technique, which should have been invincible, but it also failed miserably.
Su An grasped Old Tang's hand through the barrier, then slapped him back and forth like the Hulk.
Snap! Snap to the left.
Snap! Snap to the right!
Like tossing away a stray dog, Su An tossed Old Tang next to Jiu Demai, then flashed up and appeared above them.
This time, the blue light was very calm, as calm as an ocean. The ocean gently fell on the heads of Jiu Demai and Lao Tang, scattering death like sand.
As the blue light traveled through the area, the walls were engulfed, the steel bars were crushed, and the two intruders were surrounded by a sphere from all sides.
This time, the two had nowhere to escape, for death was everywhere they looked.
Su An extended his index finger, unconsciously muttering to himself, "Above and below heaven, I alone am supreme."
He spread his five fingers, gathered his strength slightly, and then slowly clenched them inward.
The enormous blue cage continued to shrink, and within the blue light, neither Jiu Demai nor Lao Tang could see their expressions. They stood in the blue light, lost in thought.
Blue light shrinks, shrinks, and shrinks again.
Just as it touched Mai's hair, there was a soft pop!
A dazzling yellow light emerged from the darkness, and the yellow light actually blocked the barrier of blue light.
"Ugh, I always have to clean up their messes."
A young man in a formal suit and small leather shoes walked out, a bright rose pinned to his chest, his palms dripping blood. He bowed gracefully to Su An and said, "Hello, my name is Lu Mingze."
