Chapter 116 Emergency
"here it is--"
As Loila and Dumbledore entered the tent, they saw the woman with long black hair, Miss Nagini, sitting on the bed, lost in thought.
Her expression was gentle and serene, seemingly quite different from her previous convulsing and contorted state. However, upon closer inspection, one could see that her eyes were incredibly cold. Just one glance from her made Roy feel like prey being watched.
"Eek!" She quickly shrank behind Dumbledore, only cautiously peeking out.
"It's you—hiss hiss hiss—" Nagini spoke as soon as he saw Loy, but what he said seemed a little strange.
However, Loy heard clearly that Nagini said thank you.
"Ah—no need—no need to thank me—." Roy didn't feel there was anything to thank her for. She should say that she had only removed the Imperius Curse from Nagini—and she had even hit her before removing it.
"Miss Nagini, do you remember me?" Dumbledore asked, slowly sitting down beside Nagini.
"You—hiss—" Nagini whispered, sticking out her tongue, but Loila was surprised to find that what she stuck out was a long, thin snake tongue.
"You're Dumbledore?!" Nagini was stunned for a moment and suddenly reached out and grabbed Dumbledore's shoulders, a sudden action that startled Royla.
I thought you were acquaintances, but it turns out you're enemies?
"Calm down, Miss Nagini." Dumbledore remained calm and composed, simply nodding and saying, "It's all in the past, all in the past."
"Is it over—?" Nagini's body was trembling violently, his face began to contort, and even his voice turned into a sharp hissing sound.
She's turning into a snake?!
Loila quickly gripped the wand in her sleeve. If Nagini wanted to hurt Mr. Lupin, she would definitely intervene. As for Dumbledore, he's thick-skinned and shouldn't die even if he gets bitten twice, right?
"Miss Nagini, you are a human, not some snake," Dumbledore said slowly, without making any movement, even though the hand gripping his shoulder was twisted together.
But he calmly replied, "I am Albus Dumbledore. We're friends, remember? I helped you and Credence."
"Hiss—hiss—" Nagini's face gradually turned pale, and then she began to gasp for breath, but the distorted expression she had just made did ease.
This allowed Loila to breathe a sigh of relief. She really didn't want to hurt Miss Nagini anymore, especially after learning that she was a victim of both the curse and the Imperius Curse.
"Dumbledore—Dumbledore—you—you saved him, didn't you?" In a daze, Nagini slowly lay back down on the bed, sobbing softly, "Credence—"
Dumbledore fell silent upon hearing this. After a long silence, he slowly said, "Credence has fulfilled his own mission."
Watching the two of them talking back and forth, Loila couldn't help but purse her lips. Although she didn't know what they were saying, they seemed quite sad.
Royla didn't know much about these past events, so she just quietly shrank behind Dumbledore.
Miss Nagini quickly fell asleep again. This time, she was awake for only a short time, perhaps because of the wand that Dumbledore had just gently waved.
However, it seems that because she has been a snake for so long, even when she is asleep, she still unconsciously curls up into a ball.
"Miss Hamilton," Dumbledore said slowly, glancing at Loila, "I'll take Miss Nagini with me now."
"Huh?" Loila paused for a moment, then blurted out, "She's cursed—and—"
She is not suited to stay at Hogwarts, especially now that Voldemort is, in a sense, also at Hogwarts.
He was the one who used the Imperishable Curse on Miss Nagini.
"I will take her to Mr. Scamander." Dumbledore smiled gently. "Mr. Scamander and she are old acquaintances; they met during the battle against Grindelwald."
Wait a minute—so I actually saved one of Lord Grindelwald's enemies? Royla pursed her lips awkwardly, but what could she do? She couldn't just stand by and watch someone die, could she?
Lord Grindelwald will understand—he certainly will—and Miss Nagini seems to have gone through something terrifying! She's even been hit by the Imperius Curse—the more I think about it, the more pitiful Miss Nagini seems.
"Please—please wait a moment—" Loila called out to Dumbledore, pursing her lips. "Um—can you tell me when Miss Nagini has recovered?"
"Oh?" Dumbledore was taken aback. He looked at Royla with a hint of curiosity and asked, "Is there something you need?"
"I—I want to go see her—" Loila muttered, "because—because she seems to have been through so—so many things—"
Although she hadn't understood Dumbledore and Nagini's conversation, Loy Van clearly sensed the sadness in Nagini's words—
"Is that so?" Dumbledore nodded thoughtfully. "Of course, if you're not afraid."
"After all, you were her savior, weren't you?" Dumbledore's words made Loira subconsciously purse her lips.
Aren't you afraid?
Try your best.
"Is that all?" Dumbledore gently waved his wand, causing the sleeping Nagini to float up.
"Ah—and Lupin—Mr. Lupin—" Royla quickly grabbed Dumbledore's sleeve as if she had just remembered something: "He's injured—"
Mr. Lupin has been working so hard for your job all this time! Aren't you going to have a chat with him?
"Remus has done a good job." Dumbledore nodded slightly. "But I think your company is enough for him. Also, please tell him to come to Hogwarts after Christmas; I have something to tell him."
What's so bad about that?! And you're even assigning me tasks like this?! Even though you're the principal and I'm a professor—wait a minute, is this the kind of leader you are?! Even Lord Grindelwald was there for Lady Vida when she was injured!
Dumbledore, you bastard!
Loila bit her lip as she watched Dumbledore walk to the tent entrance, then suddenly stop.
Could it be that she overheard me saying bad things about him? Loila pursed her lips nervously.
However, he seemed to remember something and said, "Oh, right, Sister Hamilton."
"I've prepared a Christmas present for you."
With that, he blinked, then waved his wand and vanished.
Did you prepare a Christmas present for me?
What does this mean? Roy was instinctively a little confused—was this some kind of bribe? Or—or rather—
Is this a reminder?
Loila actually felt that Dumbledore was reminding her—was he reminding her to prepare a Christmas present for him as well?
How could that be! I wouldn't prepare any gifts for you—absolutely not—
Loila shook her head, looked at Lupin who was still fast asleep on the carpet, and pursed her lips.
Mr. Lupin worked so hard, yet Dumbledore wouldn't even wait for him to say a word.
Then let me wait for Mr. Lupin to wake up and then tell him how heartless and ruthless Dumbledore is!
Hmph, Mr. Lupin will become Lord Grindelwald's follower too! Just like me and Luna!
Then he himself would let Hagrid and Mr. Riddle have a say.
Wait a minute—just as she was thinking this, Loila suddenly realized something and quickly picked up her wand.
How could I have forgotten about Mr. Riddle—he's still stuck at Hogwarts! And he's not just any ordinary Mr. Riddle anymore; he's now Voldemort's sixteen-year-old memories!
If Dumbledore found out she had brought Voldemort to the school—Royla pursed her lips and raised her wand.
But seeing Lupin lying on the ground, she had to grit her teeth, call for a piece of parchment, and scribble a few words on it with a quill pen.
Then she waved her wand and disappeared from the spot.
In just a few minutes, the once crowded tent was now empty except for Lupin.
"Whoosh."
Loila appeared in Hogsmeade in a flash. Of course, she couldn't Apparate to Hogwarts; she had to walk back to the school from Hogsmeade.
Fortunately, they weren't far apart. With that thought, Roy pulled his hood tighter, put on his mask, and walked toward Hogwarts as fast as he could.
Fortunately, Hogwarts was on holiday and there weren't many people on campus, so Loira was able to quickly reach her office.
Good—no one has unlocked his own magic lock—thankfully he has the concept of locking doors. Roy looked at the closed office door and breathed a sigh of relief.
Next, we need to carefully question Mr. Riddle about his relationship with Voldemort.
"Clatter".
The office door slowly opened, and what she saw made Loila pause for a moment.
