Chapter 79
Chapter 79
As my fingers tap the keys, the next line automatically pops into my head.
I wrote until 7:30, and then it got dark.
When Liu Jian's father came home from get off work, he came in and took a look.
"Still writing?"
Lin Feng looked up: "Uncle is back."
Liu Jian's father walked over and looked at the screen.
He read a few lines, and his eyes lit up.
"This is...C programming language?"
Lin Feng nodded.
Liu Jian's father squatted down and looked at each line one by one.
After watching for a few minutes, he looked up at Lin Feng.
"Kobayashi, who did you learn that from?"
Lin Feng said, "I learned it myself by reading books."
Liu Jian's father remained silent for a few seconds.
Then he said, "This level of skill doesn't seem like someone who just started learning."
Lin Feng didn't speak.
Liu Jian's father stood up and patted him on the shoulder.
"Okay, write it well. Ask me if you don't understand anything."
He went out.
Lin Feng continued writing.
I was writing at 8:30 when Cheng Yuxin's pager came through.
"Aren't you coming back yet? The food's going to get cold."
Lin Feng looked at the line of text and smiled.
He saved the code and shut down the computer.
I went out to say goodbye to Liu Jian's parents and went downstairs.
The streetlights were on, casting an orange glow. He wasn't walking fast; his mind was still on the code.
The core functionality is finished; I'll work on the interface tomorrow.
I'll try to finish the tool by the end of this weekend.
Then select the software and start the localization process.
I got home at 9:10.
Cheng Yuxin sat at the dining table with two dishes in front of her, both kept warm by covering them with bowls. She held a book in her hand, but wasn't reading it; her eyes were fixed on the view outside the window.
Hearing the door open, she turned her head.
"You're back?"
Lin Feng nodded.
Cheng Yuxin stood up and lifted the lid of the bowl.
"Eat quickly. It won't taste good if you reheat it."
Lin Feng sat down and picked up his chopsticks.
Cheng Yuxin also sat down and watched him eat.
After taking a few bites, Lin Feng looked up.
"Yuxin, why aren't you eating?"
Cheng Yuxin said, "I've already eaten."
She paused, then said, "Come back earlier next time. It's not safe to come back too late."
Lin Feng nodded.
After he finished eating, he washed the dishes.
Cheng Yuxin stood at the kitchen doorway, looking at him.
"How's your computer learning going?"
Lin Feng said, "It's alright. I wrote a small tool, and it's almost finished."
Cheng Yuxin was stunned for a moment.
"Write a tool?" she said. "You've only been learning for a few days?"
Lin Feng did not explain.
After washing the dishes and drying his hands, he went back to his room.
Cheng Yuxin was still standing at the kitchen door, watching his back.
She suddenly realized that she understood her younger brother less and less.

Lin Feng woke up again at four o'clock on Tuesday morning.
It's the same feeling; I slept for more than three hours, but I feel as energetic as if I slept for eight hours.
He tiptoed out of bed, changed his clothes, grabbed the ball, and went out.
The streets were still dark, the streetlights were on, and there were hardly any people around.
He walked to the court, and the person was already there.
Tall, wearing a black tracksuit, standing outside the three-point line.
Throw—swish.
Throw—swish.
Throw—swish.
Lin Feng walked to the other side and began his own practice.
We practiced until 5:40, when the sky began to lighten.
He stopped and drank some water.
The tall guy also stopped.
He walked over.
Lin Feng looked at him.
He was over 1.9 meters tall, and you could only see his face clearly when he got closer—a square face, thick eyebrows, and small but bright eyes. His skin was a bit dark, and his hair was shaved very short.
He looked at Lin Feng.
"How many days have you been practicing?"
Lin Feng said, "The fourth day."
The man paused for a moment.
Then he said, "You've improved very quickly."
Lin Feng didn't speak.
The man then said, "Your posture is correct, but your strength is too lacking. You need to do strength training."
Lin Feng nodded.
The man looked at him with a strange expression.
"How old are you?"
