"Madam, Madam, Darren Porter is going to kill someone!"

Justin screamed like a pig being slaughtered.

Mrs. Pomfrey thought something was wrong with him, but it turned out he had just eaten a Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean and started shouting like that.

"But...but I ate his multi-flavored beans, and they were so spicy my mouth almost exploded. I thought they were bombs..."

Justin tried to defend himself.

But he had no proof, since the bean had already gone into his mouth. Madam Pomfrey had tested all the other beans with her wand, and there was nothing wrong with them.

“If I find out you’re talking nonsense again and deliberately picking a fight here, I’ll break your other leg too. You know I can do it!”

At this time, the new, extra-spicy Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans had not yet been released, so Mrs. Pomfrey did not know that it was an extremely spicy bean.

It's normal to feel that way.

When she heard Justin say it was incredibly spicy, she thought he was faking it.

“Darren, if you ask me, you shouldn’t bother with him. This guy has paranoia… If you come over, he’ll definitely accuse you.”

Mrs. Pomfrey comforted Darren.

A mist flashed in Darren's green eyes, but he quickly regained his composure.

“It’s nothing. I just heard Justin was injured, so I wanted to come and see… Since he hates me, I’ll leave…”

Darren sighed.

He was holding the Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans he had just given to Justin.

Justin suspected he had poisoned the food and told him to take it away immediately, or he wouldn't be so polite.

As a little saint, Darren could only take Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans away with tears in his eyes.

And I expressed my sympathy for this fellow.

I reckon this guy might not even be able to leave the school clinic this semester.

Besides Justin, who was constantly going in and out of the school infirmary, Ginny was also affected by Halloween.

Ginny had a bit of a cold before Halloween.

She was given energy-boosting drugs by her brothers several times.

Darren learned about the effects of the energy booster from her and then decided to keep himself completely covered up to avoid catching a cold.

During this time, Ginny became somewhat listless, and she seemed very uneasy because of what happened to Mrs. Lorris.

Darren knew that she had some kind of feeling that the diary was manipulating her into doing something.

But of course he shouldn't know that now.

So he treated it as if Ginny had a cold and kept brewing her cold medicine, energy drinks, and tonics.

He only stopped radiating his saintly aura when Ginny was practically bleeding from her nose from eating so much.

Chapter 174 The Descendants of Slytherin?!

Besides Ginny acting a bit strange lately, Hermione has also been behaving oddly lately.

She started spending a lot of time in the school library, reading all sorts of thick books all night long.

Darren wakes up each morning with a greater amount of knowledge. This is ample proof of the woman's recent diligence.

"My God, what are you looking for?"

One day, Ron finally couldn't help but ask. Hermione glared at him and said, "You guys don't care at all about the so-called Chamber of Secrets. Something so big happened that day, didn't you even use your brains?"

Oh, I wasn't talking about you, Darren, you've been working really hard. I was talking about those two brainless idiots!

Hermione blushed and praised Darren.

Darren put down his storybook, somewhat embarrassed.

"It's just a storybook. I read it sometimes to clear my head..."

Hermione comforted Darren.

Ron was dumbfounded, but he immediately turned to Hermione with a grin and said, "Hermione, let Harry and I borrow your essay to copy. We're working on it right now!"

Harry nodded vigorously.

"Dream on! The professor gave you several days to write your essays. What about you?"

All they do is play! Do you know how much Darren wrote? He filled an entire parchment!

Hermione angrily pointed at Harry and Ron, scolding them. Ron complained, "Darren's handwriting used to be terrible, but it got much better after he practiced."

But besides looking nice, he now writes the letters very large. If there are ten lines of writing on his parchment, I'll call him Dad!

"What's wrong with ten lines? Ten lines is also the result of Darren's hard work. You guys didn't even write ten lines!"

Hermione angrily slammed the book on the table in front of Ron, startling him.

Darren handed over his essay a little embarrassedly and said obediently, "Copy mine, and remember to write it in the future... As for the size of the characters, I don't know. Ever since I changed my handwriting, I've always been used to writing big."

In order for the professor to understand, I can only write this much. I will try to correct it in the future…

Ron took Darren's essay.

He suspected Darren was talking nonsense, just trying to be lazy and write less.

Because of the entire parchment, he and Harry had already written the letters large enough to write less, but they still needed to write twenty lines.

But Darren was able to write the letters down to just ten lines, which shows how large the letters he wrote were.

But considering Darren's usual behavior, Ron shook his head and dismissed this excessive speculation.

"Impossible, Darren is different from them." He picked up Darren's notebook.

They focused their attention on the content above.

The words were beautifully chosen and the handwriting was exquisite; even ten lines of it made him sigh involuntarily.

No wonder Darren gets perfect marks from his teachers every time he writes something like this. Is this talent?

But he still put Darren's essay back. No wonder Hermione didn't stop them from copying Darren's essay.

There's really no way to copy it.

When Darren writes such beautiful sentences, the professor will praise his choice of words. But when other students write sentences like that, the professor will ask them where they copied them from.

"Hmph, I advise you to just focus on writing!"

Hermione ended the conversation in a haughty voice. Then she immersed herself in searching for various books.

Harry and the others didn't quite understand.

It wasn't until their History of Magic class that they learned what Hermione was preparing.

The History of Magic class is taught by Professor Binns. Professor Binns is a ghost professor.

It is said that one day when he went to class, he forgot to bring his body and became a ghost.

His history of magic classes were incredibly dull, boring, and tedious; even Hermione would often drift off in his thoughts.

Except for Darren.

That's what Harry and the others admired most about Darren.

No matter how boring the class was, Darren could always follow the professor's train of thought. Every time the professor looked over, he would nod thoughtfully. Although no one knew what he was thinking, he must have thought of something important.

This earned everyone's great respect.

Even Professor Binns liked Darren very much.

Last year during the exam, Professor Binns graded Darren's paper without even looking at the answers, and gave Darren a perfect score.

Of course, we're not talking about that now. We're talking about Hermione.

During Professor Binns' lecture, Hermione suddenly stood up and asked, "Professor, do you know anything about the Chamber of Secrets?"

"My field is the history of magic; I study facts, things that happened!"

Professor Binns spoke in a dry, panting voice. He was about to begin his lecture.

However, Hermione did not give up. She said directly, "Professor, you probably don't know, but there are rumors in the castle that Darren is the heir, and they all say that he opened the Chamber of Secrets."

Last time, there was another student named Justin who almost pulled out his wand and cast a spell on Darren when Darren came to visit him.

You wouldn't want to see Darren wrongly accused like this, would you? Besides, there's some truth to what's said in these stories!

"Is that so, Darren?"

Professor Binns' tone finally changed slightly. He looked at Darren.

Darren quickly shook his head, and stammered, "Hermione is exaggerating... Justin is just a little afraid of me... not to the point of casting a spell on me."

Moreover… the timing of my appearance was indeed too opportune; it's normal to be suspected…”

"It's true!"

Professor Binns angrily said, "I have never seen a student like this before. The secret room theory is utter nonsense!"
