This meticulously organized event completely changed Clark's awkward situation, ensuring that even if war broke out, Earthlings could not shift the blame onto the hero.
Unfortunately, Sam Lane didn't see it that way: in the interrogation room, he stared intently at Clark Kent, increasingly suspicious of the boy's identity, and his heart broke at the thought that his beloved daughter had an affair with an alien.
Xu Fu wiped his nose, and seeing that the conversation was over, he said:
"General, is there anything else you'd like to ask?"
"Nothing."
Sam Ryan snorted and walked away without looking back.
Xu Fu turned to his adjutant.
"Take your men outside; I need to talk to them about something."
The adjutant hesitated for a moment, glanced at the chief, nodded, saluted his men, and led them out of the waiting room.
Xu Fu moved a chair into the interrogation room, sat between them, and spoke in a coquettish tone.
"General Ryan's face was as black as a top hat when he left. I'd love to see photos of you visiting him in the future; it would be very interesting."
Clark was embarrassed, but Louise was nervous. She said...
"Don't be silly, there are surveillance cameras here."
"Don't worry, all the security cameras went off as soon as I came in. Nobody noticed what we were talking about."
Clark asked curiously, "Why are you here?"
"I'm the security advisor the White House specifically hired for this event, partly because of Linda. Zod has already declared war. How do you plan to respond?"
"Surrender and let them take you away, or fight back."
Clark fell silent, pondering the question. Louise, knowing Xu Fu's methods, couldn't help but speak up.
Do you have a good idea?
"War is the only way to solve the problem."
Xu Fu said something that stunned both of them, and then he continued.
"Two years ago, after returning to Krypton, Linda and I made contact with Zod and his squad; they kidnapped Linda in an attempt to seize control of Lonely Fortress, but I defeated and humiliated them."
"Zord's target is not you, but the Codex of Life. The Codex contains the genetic code of all Kryptonians, and possessing it can restore Kryptonian sensitivity."
"Finding you is only the first step. The next step is to find the Codex of Life and change the Earth's environment to make it more suitable for Kryptonians to grow. So no matter what you do, war will begin."
"This is a done deal. Unless you convince Sader to give up the idea of rebuilding the Min family, which I think is impossible, even if you can escape this calamity, there is still Speed."
"He is the most difficult opponent to deal with."
The atmosphere in the interrogation room was oppressive. Clark kept wondering why Zod didn't just call Kara by her name, but instead demanded her surrender. It turned out it was for the sake of the Code of Life.
Bringing Krypton back to Earth would be tantamount to waging war against the entire Ming Dynasty.
After thinking for a while, Louise said coldly, "What you said is all true."
“Linda was there too, you can call her.”
Upon hearing this, Louise no longer doubted it. She awkwardly clenched her fingers, unable to hide her inner unease.
Few normal people want to face war: once war begins, life loses its meaning, and Louise doesn't want to see conflict erupt between Kryptonians and Earthlings, whether for personal reasons or from a public standpoint.
Clark looked up and spoke for a long time
"I'm going to find him."
Xu Fu composed himself and said coldly, "There's one more thing they haven't told you: your biological father, Joel, died at the hands of Zod, and you still want to see him?"
"Yes of course"
Clark's expression was stiff and confused.
Xu Fu couldn't understand his insistence: in his view, mortal enemies should be dealt with by any means necessary, not through verbal sparring; such things only happen in action comics, and in reality, doing so would only kill the scum of the world.
Chapter 1383 Who are you?
Early the next morning, a Kryptonian sealed spaceship landed near a military base.
The hatch opened, and Fiora, Ed, and four Kryptonian warriors stepped out.
Clark looked at his girlfriend, left the defensive formation formed by the army, and walked to Fiora's side.
“Take me to see Zod.”
Fiora nodded, and the group boarded the spaceship and headed into outer space.
This scene was filmed and released to the media, causing an uproar. But in the face of the impending disaster, nothing else seemed to matter.
On the distant hillside, Linda suppressed a low growl and said...
"I've been wondering, why is Carl so stupid?"
"madness?
Xu Fu shrugged, offering a different perspective: "I think this is a good move."
"You call handing yourself over to the murderer of your father a good move?"
Xu Fu smiled and shook his head: "Linda, you shouldn't impose your own ideas on others. You are different from him. Before you were thirteen, you lived on Krypton and had the Kryptonian upbringing. Clark, on the other hand, grew up on Earth and never met his biological parents. Instead, he has a strong affection for his adoptive parents."
"Twenty years of foster care cannot deny the blood relationship. You may disagree, but that's the reality. Family ties are more important than blood ties, especially since his adoptive parents are the same couple."
Linda grinned: "Are you really making excuses for him?"
"Just telling the truth."
hum!
The girl turned her head away in despair: "No matter what you say, I cannot accept what he did, pleading with the enemy, such cowardly behavior."
Xu Fu remained silent. Clark would not die. Even if Zod wanted to kill him, he could not defeat Thunder.
The spaceship left lunar orbit and approached the giant space battleship. The hatch opened, and the spaceship floated inside. Fiora and the others removed their armor, revealing their true forms.
Clark looked up and around: black walls, black floors, ancient decorations, and a depressing atmosphere like a lonely fortress, typical of Kryptonian style.
Suddenly, a sharp pain pierced his chest.
He covered his mouth with his hand and coughed, his face turning pale and then red, like a patient with Platonic disease.
Why is my body like this?
Fiora replied coldly, "You've adapted to Earth's atmosphere, but not to Krypton's. You pathetic creature."
"Take him away."
Two Kryptonian soldiers picked up Clark and carried him to the main control panel.
The heavy door slowly opened, and a beam of bright light shone into the room. Standing under the dilapidated moonlight was a middle-aged man with a thick beard. He was tall and burly, with sharp eyes; his back was obscured by the bright light, and it took Clark a while to make out his appearance.
Are you Zod?
"Welcome back, Karl-El!"
Zod stepped forward, saw the bloodstains at the corner of Clark's mouth, and turned to speak.
"What happened? Who hurt him?"
Fiora replied dismissively, "No one, it's just that he can't adapt to the spaceship's atmospheric structure."
As soon as he finished speaking, Clark spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed to the ground unconscious.
The entire room fell silent: As a Kryptonian, he couldn't adapt to the Kryptonian environment. The general was right; he was no longer a Kryptonian.
The unconscious Clark was dragged into a cell, next to the infamous Lex Luthor.
On the Kryptonian spaceship, their fates collided for the first time in their lives, and Lex Luthor looked him up and down.
Superman?
The heroes of the metropolis.
What is he doing here? Has he been kidnapped too?
There is too little information to draw any conclusions, but finding an Earthling on an alien spaceship is undoubtedly something to be happy about.
After the Kryptonian soldiers left, Lex Luthor walked to the barrier and knocked on it several times.
Hey, wake up!
"Is it dead or not? If it's not dead, it'll squeak."
After calling for five minutes without any response, Lex had no choice but to give up.
Time passed second by second. After an unknown amount of time, Clark opened his eyes and felt the exhaustion all over his body. He couldn't help but smile bitterly: On Earth, he was an omnipotent god, but once he boarded the Kryptonian spaceship, all his superpowers disappeared, leaving only his flesh and blood.
"You're finally awake! I thought you were dead."
An unfamiliar voice came from behind him. Clark turned his head and saw the familiar bald back of his head. He said in a low voice.
"Lex Luthor?"
"you know me?"
Clark stood up, leaning on the barrier, and said, "The media is reporting it all; it's hard for anyone not to know you were abducted by aliens."
