Half a minute ago, the clone Superman struck Kara directly in the face from over sixty meters in the air, and now she's crashing into the dock on the opposite bank of the river. In that half minute, Xu Fu and the clone Superman exchanged over a hundred punches, fighting their way to the casino; the scene was extremely tense.
Xu Fu seized an opportunity, punching the clone Superman in the cheek, followed by a powerful elbow strike to his chest. Superman flew backward, crashing into the ice wall with a loud clang, like a hammer hitting a mirror. Xu Fu pursued relentlessly, but his opponent grabbed the roulette wheel and swung it to the side like a tennis racket, sending him flying twice.
Superman's figure flashed, disappearing for half a second before reappearing in front of Xu Fu, holding a slot machine. Xu Fu had barely stood up when, with his hands on the ground, the slot machine shattered into countless pieces above his head. Xu Fu's body collapsed again, falling onto the thick, icy floor.
Casino owner Penguin's office was accidentally buried beneath the casino floor, and right next door was his super-vault. The vault door was made of three layers of military-grade alloy, electrified with hundreds of thousands of volts of electricity, and equipped with the world's most advanced locks. Even so, Copport decided to place the vault in a conspicuous location—beside his fortified military-style office beneath the iceberg casino.
When the incident occurred, Cobbler was standing in front of his desk, berating three unpopular subordinates with spittle flying. The three burly men were less than five feet away from the short man in front of him, their faces covered in saliva, yet they didn't even dare to raise their heads, let alone wipe the spittle from their faces.
Cobbler spoke for over five minutes straight, pausing briefly when his mouth seemed to be drying out. He glared at the three terrified, panting kids, and finally threatened, "Do you know what will happen next? I'll smash your stupid heads one by one, smack! smack! smack!"
As he spoke, he gestured the shape of a gun with a short finger and imitated the sound of a gunshot. He just wanted to scare these fools, but unexpectedly, the ceiling behind him suddenly exploded with a loud "boom" the instant he made the gesture.
The three burly men nearly fainted from fright, and Copperfield himself was stunned. His office ceiling was covered with a 50-centimeter-thick layer of high-strength armor, impenetrable even by a direct missile attack. Yet, at that moment, a dark shadow, completely invisible to him, broke through the protective layer and landed in his office, like a megaphone piercing a piece of paper.
Xu Fu landed among the rubble and a few metal plates. He shook his head and slowly stood up. Somewhat confused, he looked around and saw a short man sitting at a table, cautiously scrutinizing him through a monocle.
Is that...is that a penguin?
Before he could even think, the enemy who had knocked him to the ground followed closely behind. Hearing the whoosh of wind behind him, Xu Fu looked up, only to be met with a gigantic fist that filled his entire field of vision, splitting his head open, carrying him through the room, and shoving him through the massive door of the adjacent storage room.
Xu Fu stood up from the pile of rubble and quietly glanced at the huge vault door made of alloy. He couldn't help but notice the wires embedded in the wall and the high-voltage current flowing through the door, and couldn't help but admire them.
Superman leaped into the air, flying through the hole Xu Fu had punched in the wall, and chased after him like an arrow. Xu Fu darted through the room, dodging Superman's relentless attack, and grabbed a corner of Superman's cape. He raised his hand, pulling Superman and cape backward, and punched his opponent in the cheek. Before Superman could even stand up, he leaned back, and Xu Fu elbowed him in the back, then pressed the back of his head down, slamming his cheek against the vault door.

Hundreds of thousands of volts of high-voltage electricity shot towards Superman's face like countless daggers, sparks flying and a long, crackling sound like firecrackers. The clone Superman, pinned against the door for some time, let out a low growl from deep within his throat, then suddenly struck Xu Fu in the back with an elbow, sending him staggering backward. Immediately afterward, he used his five fingers to grip the thick alloy plates on either side, tearing the entire door off in one swift motion, ripping apart countless electrical wires embedded in the wall, sparks flying wildly.
0 .... ....
Superman let out a low growl and lunged forward with all his might. The heavy door whistled as it hurtled towards Xu Fu, tearing through the air at an unimaginable speed. Xu Fu didn't even have time to get up. He crouched down against the wall, stretching out his arms to try and grab it, but it and the door ultimately crashed through the wall behind him and flew out of the casino, disappearing without a trace.
Superman walked to the hole he had passed on his way here, stopped, and suddenly stared coldly at the four criminals lurking in the corner of the office, instantly scaring several of them out of their wits. Cobbler forced a sly smile and assured himself that he was doing the right business and had nothing to do with these criminals.
In response, Superman simply snorted, "You're on my list too, Penguin. You better behave yourself, or I'll come back for you as soon as I'm done."
Before he could even react, he burst out of the numerous holes with a whoosh, leaving behind a room full of dust and several bewildered thugs.
Perhaps, continuing to talk to penguins like this isn't a good idea.
The three prisoners, thoroughly humiliated by the penguin's reprimand, instinctively shifted their backsides a few inches toward the vault, cautiously craning their necks to peer inside. There, they saw a small mountain of green banknotes.
"Don't even think about it, you bunch of brats!" Cobblestone roared, instantly exuding an aura that was completely different from when he faced Superman earlier.
So, these poor little brothers immediately remembered the terror that the penguin leader had brought them, and hurriedly stretched their necks and obediently sat back down.
Chapter 1694 Love the World
Xu Fu found his right foot uncontrollably taking half a step back, and his breathing and heartbeat quickened. He realized he was afraid, and he couldn't stop thinking.
He might die here, and he might die a horrible death.
Subconsciously, he glanced in Kara's direction, and his heart began to pound even harder for no reason.
The apocalypse roared, its fist, shrouded in a milky-white halo, hurtling towards them. Xu Fu and Kara hastily sprang to their feet at incredible speed, the gray-brown fist snapping in two from their bodies, crashing into the middle of the street like a meteorite. The ground cracked open with astonishing speed, debris scattering everywhere due to the sudden change in air pressure.
Just as Xu Fugang regained his footing in mid-air, he saw Kara beside him transform into a blur, plunging straight into the thick smoke and dust, fearlessly smashing her fists into Doomsday's head. He was thrilled for Kara, but like "047," he couldn't help but worry for her, fearing that he would see Doomsday tear her apart in the next moment.
Kara shoved "Doomsday" aside, crashing into a shop on the corner and kicking up a cloud of dust. She pressed her knee against "Doomsday's" throat and, with all her might, punched the monster's trachea again and again. A muffled growl escaped from Doomsday's nostrils, seemingly expressing even greater rage. Suddenly, he flung his hand out, grabbing Kara's fist and squeezing her small, white hand tightly in his palm. He lifted her arm and slammed her body against the sidewalk repeatedly.
Upon seeing the scene before him, the lingering fear vanished instantly. Xu Fu lunged forward almost without thinking, dodging Doomsday with a thud, and punched the monster in the temple. Doomsday's eyes darkened, and it released Kara's hand, staggering back two steps.
Xu Fu took a step forward, preparing to continue the pursuit, but was suddenly struck from behind by a hurricane. He was unexpectedly pushed back by the immense force, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw the remnants of the Red and Blue Legion charging straight towards their doom.
"Get out of my way!" the clone Superman yelled at the two young Kryptonians rushing towards the apocalypse. "He's mine!"
Xu Fu pushed himself backward with his palm, falling onto another building that was on the verge of collapse. He picked up the layers of stones that were pressing down on him, shook his head, and saw that the clone Superman was fighting Doomsday again. Red and blue shadows danced in the sky, and blade-like air currents swirled among the rubble. The gale made it hard for him to breathe.
Kara sat there, shielding her eyes with her hands: her small, white hands were stained with Doomsday's red marks. She watched the two figures locked in battle with anxiety and said, "He can't defeat Doomsday; we must help him."
Xu Fu said, “But he told us to get lost, and I think he didn’t want anyone to help him.”
Kara shook her head: "We still have to help him."
The clone Superman was once again overwhelmed by Doomsday. No matter how hard he tried to prove himself, the difference in strength between them was undeniable. Doomsday's attack struck the "C" mark on his chest, and the force was so great that he coughed up blood, his body flying through the air as he crashed into a pile of rubble. Before he could even get up, Doomsday had already leaped up, his heavy body landing on him with tremendous kinetic energy. The airflow from that moment scattered all the rubble within a radius of several meters.
Doom raised his right hand high, and a yellowish-brown bone spur slowly rose like a withered tree, making a slight noise. It was shaped like a sharpened awl, pointing directly at the already weakened clone below, as if it were ready to deliver the final blow.
Kara rushed forward almost without thinking, her red cloak billowing in the air. Xu Fu cried out, "Kara!" He instinctively reached out to pull her back, but it was too late. Kara blocked Doom and the clone Superman's path with lightning speed. Her chubby fingers grabbed Doom's wrist, preventing him from plunging his wildly growing fingertips into the clone Superman's chest.
Kindness was the first word that came to Xu Fu's mind.
It's a very common word, but very few people can truly embody it these days, and this alien girl is the epitome of that word. KaraZor-El, she is a truly good person through and through, even relentlessly sharing her kindness with enemies charging at her with swords.
Perhaps this is exactly what Xu Fu cherished—the time he spent with her always reminded him to be a better person.
Unfortunately, not everyone accepts such kindness. The clone Superman struggled to his feet, and when he saw the situation before him, his eyes blazed with fury. Without a word, he punched Kara in the side. Kara was doing everything she could to stop Doomsday from killing the fake Superman, but she never expected that the person she wanted to help would attack her from behind. She cried out and was thrown into the air, and Xu Fu turned around and picked her up.
"Everyone get out of here!" The clone Superman stared at the scornful monster standing before him, his eyes blazing with a fiery red light, and declared resolutely, "This guy... is mine. I am Superman... I must protect this world... It can only be protected by me!"
At this moment, Superman had clearly lost his mind. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, roared, and charged forward like an arrow, slamming into Doomsday's waist. He used his arm as a chain to lock Doomsday's body in place, and the two figures overlapped with each other, creating a loud "bang" as they flew into the sky. The billowing black smoke of Gotham City quickly disappeared beneath their feet, and the thick gray clouds instantly broke through, allowing unfiltered sunlight from outside the atmosphere to pour down on Superman and Doomsday, like a magnificent painting against the backdrop of near-space.
Superman paused his ascent high above the blue planet, taking a second to savor its beauty. Then, he whispered in a voice only he could hear...
I do this because I love this world.
Then, without hesitation, he tightly embraced the struggling Sun of Destruction and tore it downwards with all his might. The afterimage entered the atmosphere, and the intense friction with the airflow turned the two figures into a vortex-shaped fireball. Following the direction of gravity, it fell at an extremely fast speed, its long fiery feathers resembling a beautiful shooting star, nearing its end.
The ultimate fate of all meteors is to fall into a sea of fire.
The apocalypse retaliated fiercely, the bone spurs on the back of his hand leaving horrific bloodstains on the clone's neck and cheeks, the blood instantly evaporating in the intense heat. He let out a final roar, grabbed the clone, changed direction, and left the densely populated metropolis, choosing a desolate desert as his crash site.
If it's a meteor, then it must be the most magnificent one of them.
The blazing fireballs scattered instantly, as if trying to penetrate the earth's crust. Light and heat flashed wildly, mercilessly tearing the earth apart. Scalding smoke rose upwards, seemingly still tinged with the color of flames.
Chapter 1695 The Day of Destruction
Superman's clone died
Perhaps he isn't entirely Superman, perhaps his thoughts and standards have become somewhat skewed because of the League of Assassins, perhaps his actions are truly controversial, even radical, but that doesn't change one thing: perhaps the only part of him that remains consistent with the true Superman...
He loved the world with all his heart and was willing to give his life for it.
Sadly, his heroic sacrifice did not bring a perfect end to this nightmare. The embodiment of evil had not yet fallen, and the nightmare continued. With sparks still flying from his body, Doomsday slowly emerged from the pit, his body covered in sharp bone spikes, becoming the embodiment of all evil. The ravaged land resembled hell.
Perhaps it was time to truly be afraid, but on the contrary, Xu Fu felt no fear. The fallen clone Superman was like a fuse deep within his soul; his body trembled with anger and other complex emotions. He had perhaps forgotten fear; facing this hideous demon, his only thought was to use his fists to ensure this monstrous creature could never be resurrected.
He knew Kara thought similarly to himself, judging from her angry roar and the way she flew towards Doomsday. But Xu Fu didn't try to persuade her to calm down; instead, 11, like her, rushed towards Doomsday at full speed, mustering all her remaining strength to try and defeat the monster.
But anger is never the solution; it always makes things worse. Xu Fu swung Doom's hand, knocking away a sharp bone spike that pierced his waist. Kara jumped onto Doom's shoulder and grabbed at his neck, but his rough hand dragged her off to the ground.
Kara half-stood up, only to see the beast's ferocious face very close to her. A burst of scorching purple energy erupted from its eyes, mouth, and nostrils, as if the sun itself were hidden there. Kara instinctively raised her hands to shield herself, but they were useless against the beast's attack. If the beam of light capable of destroying the sun struck her, she would be severely injured, if not killed.
"Kara!" Xu Fu shouted, trying to fly over to help, but he was too far away to make it in time.
Just as he watched the intense light about to engulf Kara, a rumbling sound suddenly echoed in the sky. A fourth red and blue figure swept across the battlefield, and before a beam of energy could erupt, a steel fist struck Dumdi in the face. The beam struck Kara's side, swiftly cleaving the ground and leaving charred cracks, while Dumdi's neck cracked from the impact.
The visitor grabbed Doomsday's arm, lifted it up, and threw it forcefully. The enormous mass flew through the air, turning into a wisp of black smoke, and a moment later, a heavy thud was heard as it hit the ground.
Xu Fu, who was flying at full speed in that direction, froze on the spot, his face full of surprise. Kara sat on the ground with her feet together, staring at the frozen guest, forgetting even to stand up.
Superman, another Superman, who looks very much like the real Superman.
He landed gently on the ground, his cloak slowly fluttering down. He bent down, a warm smile on his face, and extended his hand to Kara.
"Hi Kara," he said. "Long time no see, how are you?"
Kara stared at his outstretched hand for a moment, then said in a daze, "Clark...? Are you serious this time?"
“No matter what you’ve seen before, yes, I assure you,” he said with a smile, “I am real.”
Kara looked directly into his clear, bright eyes and couldn't help but smile with delight. She instinctively took his hand, as if trying to draw him to her side.
"Clark!" she exclaimed excitedly as she approached. "Is it really you? But... how could this be?"
“It’s a long story, but now’s not the time,” they said, as Xu Fu flew closer. Clark looked him up and down and said with a smile, “You must be the newly popular Superman. I’ve seen you on TV several times. In fact, I even saw you fly overhead once.”
Xu Fu was covered in sweat. "I'm sorry I used your name. I'm still trying to adapt to this job."
“No, you did a great job. I’m sure we’ll have a lot to talk about after this is over.” Clark’s gaze sharpened again, returning to the hissing beast beside him. “But we’ll have to wait. Our work isn’t finished yet, is it?”
Meanwhile, outside Gotham City, there is an abandoned League of Assassins base.
Batman watched through satellite surveillance as the familiar blue giant returned to the battlefield, his unease intensifying. The image of the future Superman's corpse that Talia had shown him still haunted his mind, silently foreshadowing an inevitable end. Alfred's surprised voice came through the earpiece: "Master, that's not...."
“I’m afraid so. It has to be him, Bamboo Pole Monster Number One,” Batman said in a deep voice. “But even if the three of them team up, they can’t win this battle. The apocalypse cannot be destroyed. Even if you kill him, he will become stronger and keep resurrecting. We must do something…”
“I feel I can offer help in this area.”
Batman turned his head to the side and saw Talia, whose hands were cuffed behind her back, trying to sit up. "I might have a way to make this monster disappear."
"Just a few minutes ago, you were trying to create an army of cloned Superman to conquer the world," Batman grinned. "Why should I believe you?"
"Because I only want the Alliance to get the human world back on track, not destroy it. Or you can disbelieve me and have your resurrected blue giant friend continue fighting that monster to the death to see who the final winner is."
Batman's glasses twitched, as if he had been convinced. "What's your decision?"
"The Stone of Eternity," Talia said curtly, "is the only data we have after a series of studies on the Stone of Eternity 047. We discovered that whenever it transmits an object capable of traversing time and space, it emits a special energy wave. We attempted to simulate and capture this wave, and have achieved some success..."
“Get to the point, Talia,” Batman interrupted her. “We don’t have much time.”
Talia said quietly, "Well, that means that through the working system we created on the Stone of Eternity, we can replicate and release the opposite energy wave to activate the stone, which will pull back anything it emits back to where it should be... - provided, of course, that you have to place something in the center of the stone."
