“You should learn to be humble,” Helena said, sitting across from her with her long legs crossed, looking up from behind a fashion magazine in an instant. “By the way, it was Wally who saved me, not you.”

“Hey, we’re a team, we’re going to do this together, aren’t we?” Mike protested.

“There are teams that do a lot and teams that do a little,” Helena retorted, seemingly unable to resist the new Green Lantern. Xu Fu calmly accepted their argument, but he always had a vague feeling that the two of them might not see each other again for a long time.

A tempered glass barrier separates the driver's side from the rear of the car. Bruce himself sits in the driver's seat, gripping the steering wheel tightly, while Clark sits in the passenger seat, his elbow resting on the edge of the window.

“Actually, I don’t think it’s a bad idea to broadcast these shows frequently,” Clark said. “They’re popular now, and people want to watch them.”

"Later, they're too immature." Bruce stared ahead expressionlessly.

“In fact, we weren’t much older than them when we first came into this world,” Clark muttered to himself. “And back then, none of us had any elders to guide us.”

Bruce snorted and ignored him. Clark knew he couldn't talk to him, so he stopped pursuing the topic and stared out the window. For a moment, he was captivated by the flowers and bushes rushing past the car window like a slideshow.

After a while, Clark suddenly spoke up again: "What do you think of them?"

"Who?"

Ah, those young people.

Bruce thought for a long time, muttering two words: "Too young."

“He has potential,” Clark objected.

"reckless"

"The wealth in courage"

"The uncertainty is enormous and extremely dangerous."

I hope so.

Bruce finally turned to Clark, his face still showing displeasure, and looked him straight into his blue eyes.

"Are you always going to antagonize me, Clark Kent?"

Clark grinned. "What do you think?"

As they spoke, the black sedan had already driven off the tree-lined dirt road. As the long row of green trees was left behind, a magnificent white building appeared outside the car window.

"Wow!" Mike exclaimed, his eyes practically popping out of his head as he looked at the buildings outside the window. "Did you see that? It's amazing!"

Due to the limited vantage point, only a small portion of the building could be seen from the window, but even so, the visual impact was still quite stunning. The tall white building stood majestically on the ground, every line conveying a wild sense of superiority, and its exquisite structural design was a testament to the designer's genius. It resembled a colossal, modern palace, towering over this densely forested suburb.

Almost everyone in the carriage looked at it with awe, except for Helena. She impatiently peeked out from behind a magazine, and Mike exclaimed in surprise, "It's just a problematic building, what's so special about it?"

The sensor-equipped metal gates opened automatically, as if welcoming the arrival of the crowd, identifying and checking vehicles just before they arrived. A long black sedan drove through the gates and along a winding path toward the white building.

Bruce parked the car in the outdoor parking lot, and the group walked toward the building entrance. As they passed the tarmac, a sleek white fighter jet caught their attention. Bruce said to the young man in a calm tone, "There's a spare, but try not to cancel it too soon."

Xu Fu couldn't help but think, "That's really ruthless." He felt that this thing probably wouldn't even survive its first mission.

Cisco stammered, "So that's how it is now."

"This is yours," Clark, who was walking alongside Bruce in front of them, turned around and smiled weakly, "like your watchtower."

"Zan!" Cisco and Mike clapped at each other, and in an instant, the two became familiar with each other.

After passing through the entrance checkpoint, Bruce led everyone on a tour of the entire building, which took quite a while because it was so huge. In addition to the necessary command center, meeting rooms, classrooms, armory, and other facilities, there were more than 20 spacious bedrooms and common living areas, a gym, a swimming pool, and even a kitchen.

"It was originally built as a base for the Justice League. But we later changed our minds and decided to build the base in Earth orbit, so we built a watchtower and this place was abandoned as a backup base."

“Are you telling me that this huge place has been abandoned here since it was built?” Kara asked incredulously.

“Otherwise what? Do you think I should sell it?” Bruce retorted.

Kara was stunned.

Finally, they went to the conference room and sat around the round table. As the eldest hero, Clark naturally gave the concluding remarks.

"It's a pleasure to see all of you here." He took off the glasses he used as a reporter to disguise himself and carefully looked each of you over. "Each of you is different, and you all performed exceptionally well in the great battle you just experienced. In the eyes of each of you, I see a heroic heart and a fervent soul, which is exactly what this world has long lacked and what it needs."

You have all proven yourselves during difficult times and are worthy of the title of heroes. Looking at you, I feel deeply gratified, because I know that the future is in the hands of a group of strong young people.

Today, facing a common threat, you united and worked together to overcome it. I hope that, in the face of future threats, you will continue to unite and confront them together, not as individual heroes, but as a new team, fighting together for justice and truth.

He couldn't help but laugh as he spoke, and a look of satisfaction appeared in his eyes as he looked at the boys. Bruce saw this and realized that his old friend saw a reflection of his past self in these teenagers, as if a dream from yesterday had come true.

Why didn't Bruce think that way? These people were young, energetic, and had a strong sense of justice; they truly deserved to be called the Justice League of their time.

The world has changed. The veterans of the League are long gone, and with the passage of time, even Batman has begun to lose some of his power. Perhaps it's time for him to believe in the new League, to believe that the future belongs to these young people, and perhaps it really is time for him to learn to let go.

Thinking of this, his gaze involuntarily fell on Helena. Since the meeting began, she had been listening attentively to the speeches, her chin crossed, arms outstretched in silence, observing everyone with a mixture of suspicion and concern, like a female version of Batman.

Helena is a good girl and the best student he has ever taught; she will handle everything well.

At that moment, Mike suddenly raised his hand, interrupting Clark: "Speaking of the team, we don't seem to have a name yet, do we?"

This seemed like a problem. Sisco immediately perked up and volunteered to call himself one of the "Fantastic Six."

When the suggestion drew "terrible" and "very terrible" objections from others, Xu Fu looked at Cisco in surprise. Was this guy really an undercover agent from the studio next door? An undercover agent from the studio next door?

Wally suggested calling them the "Super 5.8 Six." But the idea was quickly rejected.

Mike suggested "Intrepid 6," but that was quickly rejected because he scoffed at the naming conventions.

That's why the media gave them a name very early on.

A chilling silence fell over the crowd, then their gazes turned simultaneously to Xu Fu, with an unspoken understanding. He innocently raised his hands: "Why are you all looking at me? I didn't bribe them."

Kara suddenly remembered something and asked Clark, "Aren't you going to join us?"

Clark smiled and shook his head. "No, this is your team, so I won't mention that old man." He paused, then said, "But I think that as newcomers, you might need a mentor. I think Batman would be a good choice; he would certainly be happy to help you become an advisor to the new league."

Bruce raised an eyebrow: "We didn't make that deal."

“Come on, give the young man a hand.” Clark patted him on the shoulder, then turned his back to him and whispered in his ear, “Besides, even if you don’t do this, you’ll find a way to keep an eye on them, right? I’m doing this for your own good.”

Bruce gave a soft hum and didn't answer, seemingly in agreement.

Chapter 1760 Heroic Blood

The battle against the Destroyer Center from deep within Earth has ended, but its aftershocks are far from over. In particular, the "New Justice League" team, dubbed the "New Justice League" by the media, has swept across the globe and its popularity is unlikely to wane for at least a month.

Although the team has not yet issued an official public statement, this does not seem to diminish the admiration for these new heroes, and unfortunately, so do the critics. Their job is to question everything, and it seems that being an adversary is the greatest pleasure in their lives. They spare no effort in pointing out the potential problems these superheroes may bring, with some even equating the young heroes with "menace."

But in any case, they are now on the rise, and the situation dictates that voices supporting the new hero are prevailing, while those who endorse criticism and conspiracy theories are, after all, in the minority.

Christmas was indeed tiring for these young protagonists, but fortunately, after the event, they still had time to go home and catch the last train of the holiday.

Mike's partnership with Amanda Waller ended after the mission against the Knights, and his own enthusiasm for government intelligence work quickly waned, to the point that he asked Cisco to accept his resignation, by which time he had returned to his home on the seashore, considering his father was still in prison. Waller could have objected, given his father's imprisonment and the fact that his family of 11 needed him, but that was a matter for later; he didn't care.

Wally and Sisco went home too, but Helena was different. She had already taken a day off this year, and that vacation was long over for her.

Xu Fu had been confused about whether he would continue to play the role of the new Superman, but this experience made him no longer doubt it. He had originally thought that now that the real Superman had returned, he would no longer need a replacement, but now he realized that this idea was wrong.

The problem isn't why a new Superman appears, but whether his actions are meaningful. He's just making things more difficult for himself; when he saves countless lives in Metropolis and sees every face crawling out of the dead looking at him with gratitude, he immediately remembers this.

Perhaps part of the reason for this decision was the little girl on the bus who gave him a cold but passionate kiss.

The hype surrounding this new team of heroes didn't gradually die down until just before Christmas. In Metropolis, for example, superheroes were practically everywhere. Coffee shops displayed themed mugs with hero icons, shopping malls had superhero displays hanging outside, and for those involved in the project, the most interesting thing was something that happened to Xu Fu and Kara while they were shopping.

The incident began when Xu Fu saw a mannequin wearing a T-shirt with a peripheral logo printed on it in the window of a peripheral store. To be honest, he didn't think the color scheme of the T-shirt was very successful, but if he were to rate the T-shirt, he would give it a nine out of ten. The nine points were all for the Super Girl logo on the T-shirt.

Yes, this is an illustration of a second-generation Super Girl contestant. If Xu Fu were to evaluate it from a true man's perspective, he might say the artist's skill is quite superb. The girl on the T-shirt has blonde hair and blue eyes, a charming smile on her face, her right foot tucked into a red boot, and a bright red cape fluttering behind her, making her look very cute.

Xu Fu laughed strangely, his gaze shifting from the picture on the T-shirt to the real person standing behind him. His odd expression sent a chill down Kara's spine. Kara suppressed a blush and instinctively pressed her glasses to the bridge of her nose: "What are you looking at?"

Xu Fu immediately became serious: "I just think this photo is great, so I decided to buy one."

At this moment, the shop owner, a kind-looking middle-aged man, came out of the shop and told Xu Fu with a smile that the T-shirt was selling very well and all the boys liked it very much. "Look at the picture on it," he said, "what an adorable Super Girl! It looks just like the real thing!"

Xu Fu felt he had reached his limit in suppressing his laughter. Faced with his boss's aggressive questioning, he was a little at a loss, so he pouted and said, "Okay, I'll take this shirt."

Kara was furious and determined to show Xu Fu how serious the consequences of his mockery would be.

Just then, she stormed into the store and asked the shopkeeper if they had any new Superman models.

Upon hearing about the new business, the boss immediately beamed with joy, pointing at Kara and saying that rows of various hero figurines were neatly arranged on the shelves.

Xu Fu began to regret it. He felt that he probably shouldn't have mocked her so fiercely, and he didn't know if it was too late to apologize now.

Kara fiddled with the shelves for a while, then pointed to three new Superman models from three different manufacturers and exclaimed, "Give me five of each of these three!"

Even the owner lingered, adjusting his glasses, and asked, "Are you sure, Miss?"

Kara nodded irritably: "Of course, five thousand each!"

Xu Fu turned his head away and covered his face with his hands.

He was beginning to believe that some people were right: women were the most unworthy creatures to mess with in the world. The thought of what Kara might do to his 15 "doppelgangers" sent chills down his spine. As his boss packed up the fifteen doppelgangers for Kara, he glanced at her and saw the girl giving him a victorious smile.

He felt like a failure.

Generally speaking, people are happy about the appearance of the new hero, and there is even a hint that a new era of heroes is about to begin. However, those in high positions only feel nervous about it.

“As I have always emphasized,” Amanda Waller said, sitting at a conference table and facing bigwigs from all walks of life in the political arena, “superhumans have always been a threat to us, and the new generation of heroes is even more so. They are younger and more unpredictable than the Justice League of yesteryear, they have superpowers capable of destroying the Earth, and they are just a bunch of teenagers.”

The goatee-wearing general sitting directly opposite her objected, saying, “I cannot agree with you, Ms. Waller. As far as I know, they have been trying to do the right thing so far, and people like them. I personally think they are trustworthy.”

"Trust is nothing but empty words these days, General Henry. How long ago did we entrust our future to freaks in masquerade costumes, and what happened?" Waller grinned. "Society regressed by decades, and the economy stagnated. Of course, nobody here needs to review the consequences of a doomsday invasion, right?"

General Henry was about to say something when he was interrupted by another great man of even higher status: "Alright, let's put the argument to rest and vote. Those who agree with General Henry, please raise your hands."

Apart from General Henry himself, almost no one raised their hand.
