Chapter 150 The Black Wizard in the Woods

Chapter 150 The Black Wizard in the Woods

The bonfire barbecue lasted until late at night.

The camp was filled with celebratory figures, and loud singing filled the night sky. Goblins waved glittering lanterns and flitted over people's heads, scattering a string of laughter.

While drinking and grilling meat around the campfire, everyone discussed various details of the competition.

Ron and Harry were content with their butterbeer, but Fred and George were ecstatic after winning a huge sum of Galleons today. They took turns pouring alcohol into Sirius's drink, hoping to steal some of the strong whiskey he had brought after he passed out.

Of course, it's unlikely they'll succeed; Remus, a former professor with meticulous attention to detail, has been watching them closely.

Lyra was still excited about Krum. She got drunk after two butterbeers and started dancing around the campfire, attracting the attention of the boys from the neighborhood who kept passing by their tents. However, because she was surrounded by a group of wizard companions, they didn't dare to approach her.

Later, Lyra kept talking to Hermione about Krum, from his flying skills to his appearance, and then to all the tabloid articles about him. Hermione managed to keep up with Lyra, but Ginny fell asleep in her chair.

With a clatter, Ginny's cup slipped from her hand, spilling hot cocoa all over the floor.

“It’s time for bed, children—” Mr. Weasley said loudly, finally ending his argument with Charlie about the foul.

Everyone changed into their pajamas and climbed into bed.

They were suddenly woken up in the middle of the night.

There was a commotion outside the tent, as if a disturbance had broken out. Lyra was woken up by Hermione, while Ginny was still half asleep when Fred and George burst into their room, telling them to bring their wands.

"Quickly, forget everything else, everyone grab your wands and get going!" Remus shouted.

Sirius grabbed Harry, Charlie looked at Ron, and Bill came over to find Ginny.

Mr. Weasley and Percy, as officials of the Ministry of Magic, rushed out to maintain order.

Lyra and Hermione were holding hands tightly, with Fred and George beside them, but as soon as they rushed out of the tent, they were separated by the crowd!

Everyone was running away in a panic, as if a terrible monster was chasing them. Loud screams, maniacal laughter, and drunken shouts rang out from all directions, and Lyra couldn't hear Fred and George's cries at all.

Lyra was all alone. Luckily, she was still holding her wand tightly in her hand. She was bumped by someone behind her and stumbled. If she hadn't grabbed onto an unfamiliar purple tent in time, she would have fallen.

Suddenly, she heard a faint crying sound coming from beside the tent, and a little girl with silver hair crawled out from the corner.

This is a little girl as beautiful as a doll!

But it seems she got separated from her family.

Leila heard another explosion in the distance; many tents had already caught fire, and the flames illuminated the night sky. Leila couldn't just abandon the silver-haired girl; otherwise, she might be burned alive!

She scooped up the child and stumbled after a group of panicked people as they ran into the woods.

Suddenly, a huge explosion came from the other side of the woods, more deafening than any explosion people had just heard. The crowd around Lyra was even more panicked, and many screams rang in her ears.

To make matters worse, she tripped over a tree root, which meant that the rest of the group would step on her!

In her haste, Leila instinctively shielded the little girl with her body, trying to protect her head with her hands, but someone had already stepped on her back!

"Get out of the way!" Someone used a spell to knock away the person who was stepping on her, and roared as they rushed over to pull her up.

"Lyra!" A platinum-gold head rushed over.

Lyra was rescued by Draco Malfoy, who initially had no intention of helping the silver-haired little girl, whom he considered a complete burden.

But Lyra insisted on taking the silver-haired little girl with her, so he had no choice but to lead the two of them with difficulty into the depths of the woods, going in the opposite direction from the panicked crowd.

Draco was wearing an invisibility cloak, but it could only barely cover two people, let alone a little girl who was about half his height. In the end, he coldly gave the cloak to Lyra.

With trembling hands, Lyra used her wand to cast the Disillusionment Charm and the Silent Charm on all three of them.

"Thank you, Draco."

Lyra felt a burning pain in several places on her body, probably from being trampled on, but she was still grateful that Draco hadn't saved her. She and the silver-haired girl might have been trampled by the panicked crowd.

"Do you know what's going on with the commotion outside?" Lyra's heart was still pounding, and she kept talking to Draco to calm her panic.

But the platinum-haired young master, who usually loved to speak eloquently, was unusually silent at this moment. Only his light-colored eyes shone brightly in the darkness. If you looked closely, they were filled with fear and unease, unlike Lyra, who had just been almost trampled to death.

"De..."

"Shh-"

Lyra was about to ask another question when Draco Malfoy stopped her—this was the first time this had ever happened—in the past, it was always Lyra who tried to stop Draco.

A group of wizards wearing hoods and masks walked along a path not far away. They all held wands, and above their heads, several struggling figures floated in the air, their bodies twisted into various strange shapes.

The poor people are like puppets, controlled by invisible threads emanating from the wands of masked wizards, spinning endlessly.

Lyra's eyes widened as she realized that these poor "puppets" were dressed in Muggle clothes—this was a dark wizard harming Muggles!

"Oh my god!" Lyra sighed silently. She understood Draco's nervousness. Neither of them dared to make a sound lest they disturb the group of masked dark wizards.

The silver-haired little girl seemed to understand that she shouldn't make a sound. Her eyes were filled with tears, but she covered her mouth with one hand and tightly gripped Leila's hand with the other.

But her little foot accidentally stepped on a dead branch.

"Snap—"

A crisp sound immediately attracted the attention of the group of dark wizards.

Who's there?

A sinister, malicious voice rang out.

"So there was a little mouse hiding here—"

Draco, who only had the Disillusionment Charm and the Silent Charm on him, was quickly discovered by the group of adult dark wizards. He was forced to reveal himself, and his signature platinum blonde hair appeared in the woods.
