Chapter 190: Change
Chapter 190: Change
There was a specific reason for Auric to tell her about such a problem without solving it directly.
After seeing how Katarina looked at him, he knew that Katarina wouldn’t exactly believe in him.
In a way, she behaved similarly to Arina when they first met.
That was why Katarina immediately went to an evolution master she knew.
"Andrew! Can you check my condition, please?" Katarina asked.
The man before her was a 2-star silver-grade evolution master. He was also her classmate and someone talented enough to have a chance to become a gold-grade evolution master before he had to graduate.
Andrew was startled by the sudden request.
"I... don’t mind. Give me your hand." Andrew nodded.
As soon as she extended her hand, Andrew immediately poured his energy into checking her condition.
He was surprised by what he found. "Your body is a mess. What did you do?"
"That’s..." Katarina looked down. She originally thought Andrew would be able to see through her injury.
Yet, even after knowing about it, he couldn’t guess that the problem had originated from the ruins.
It was true that in her last ruins, a mishap happened, which resulted in her staying twice as long as she originally intended.
She thought it was just fatigue, so she was trying to recover properly. In a way, taking care of a guest was a method to skip her work on the student council.
It turned out Auric’s skill was much more exceptional than she knew. He could see through her condition and even the cause.
Katarina paused for a moment before saying, "I was staying in the ruins for a bit too long."
"Staying in the ruins?" Andrew was astounded.
"Can you fix it?" Katarina asked.
"I’m afraid not." Andrew shook his head helplessly. "From the looks of it, there are three different elements in your body. You must have entered a complicated place."
"Yes..." Katarina nodded. "So, you can’t fix this? Do you know anyone who can?"
"That’s not the problem, Katarina. The problem is the number of elements in your body. If it’s just one element, I can solve it. However, multiple elements like this can only be solved by evolution.
"In other words, you will have to undergo an evolution and use that energy to wash away these three elements within your body. However, having all these elements during your evolution will make it more painful and dangerous.
"So, the other solution will be to take a proper rest for a few months. They should dissipate with time."
Katarina’s expression turned serious. She definitely couldn’t afford to wait for that long.
Andrew had given her the solutions, but none of them were to her liking.
Katarina looked down, thinking, ’Why would he mention my problem? Was it just payback? No, wait. I know he possesses a unique element, but that unique element allows him to control multiple elements...’
Katarina asked, "Say... Can this kind of problem be solved immediately?"
"Not really. However, if you really insist on treating that problem right away, you can only find a few evolution masters who can work together." Andrew raised three fingers and entangled them together. "Those three elements are entangling with each other. Fixing one doesn’t mean you can remove it. The other two are tying it so that it will remain. Only if you can solve the three of them at the same time can you fix this problem immediately."
Most people would definitely wait for a few months or just go for an evolution.
Unlike older people who had already reached a very high rank, the students could evolve more easily. That was why evolution was still a solution for them.
Katarina finally figured out the solution. Auric was the only solution. As someone who controlled multiple elements, he could solve her problem. No, he was the only one who could solve her problem.
Besides, Auric was skilled enough to notice the problem just by looking at her.
Katarina realized that she had been played. It was no wonder Auric told her to ask her friends.
If she hadn’t learned it from her friend, she would have thought that this problem was an easy one.
It looked like she had to apologize to Auric and find a way to ask him to remove her problem.
"Thanks. How much is the consultation fee?" Katarina asked.
"It’s all right. I don’t need anything. Sorry I can’t give you the help you’re looking for."
"No, it’s fine. I acted too hastily." Katarina politely nodded to him and walked away. She looked at her phone, knowing that she had to get in contact with Auric first.
...
Meanwhile, Auric had arrived at the supposed clothing store.
"Oh my. Who do we have here? Isn’t this young lady Ellia? Are you finally back in the capital?" A bald man came with a gentle smile.
"For a while, yes. However, I’m not here as a customer right now."
"How rude of me." The man turned to both Auric and Milinda. "I wonder whether this gentleman here or this young lady here would like to take a look."
"Actually..." Auric took out a card from the previous day. "I was told to come here with this card."
"You must be Auric." The bald man smiled. "Welcome, I am the manager here. My name is Sigmund. I have been instructed to assist you with your appearance."
"Please come this way." The bald man extended his hand, leading Auric personally.
Milinda and Ellia looked at each other. There was no way they were going to miss this.
But what they didn’t know was that he had been instructed to do a full makeover.
Auric was already good enough, but he first put him in the salon to fix his hair.
Then, he brought over a few clothes. The first set of clothes was a formal suit.
This was probably the first time Auric had ever worn a suit. The white color was picked to match Auric’s eyes, giving a stark contrast to his hair.
His hair was a bit shorter, which gave him a rather refreshing look, placing more emphasis on his face.
Milinda and Ellia were a bit stunned. Auric looked like a different person. Before, Auric was giving off a gentle and calm air.
However, with the manager’s help, his demeanor turned cool and elegant.
His demeanor changed one more time when the director brought a navy blazer, making him look like a real idol.
Milinda didn’t know about the store before, but she finally understood why Ellia said this was the best.
Auric ended up changing into one last set of clothes, which were a bit more casual. This time, he was wearing an oversized orange t-shirt coupled with an undershirt with long sleeves. The jeans added to his stylish appearance.
He looked more casual but gave off a cool and distant aura.
Milinda simply stared at him the entire time. By the time she turned away, Ellia was already gone.
In fact, Ellia had already walked over to the staff and was handing over her credit card as though she were trying to pay for the clothes.
The staff was having a hard time because everything had been paid for by the Relesha family.
Auric didn’t know what was going on. He just went with the flow since the manager gave him a bunch of clothes.
In the end, he kept the casual clothes since he planned to head elsewhere.
"As expected, my eyes did not deceive me. You are a very dazzling person."
"Thank you." Auric nodded politely.
"I guess I should have brought you to this kind of store in Thunderer City." Ellia grinned.
"What are you talking about?" Auric chuckled.
"I think I have to agree with that. I’m definitely going to buy you clothes on your birthday." Milinda nodded.
"Don’t steal my idea." Ellia scoffed.
As expected, he completely grabbed people’s attention. Before, he got a lot of people staring at him. This time, their stares were much more intense to the point where he felt a chill down his spine.
If not for Milinda and Ellia, people might even come to talk to him.
In the end, Auric tried to ignore them and focus on their destination. It took them a while before they reached the store.
The location of the building was near the intersection. The building might not be that big, but it was even more spacious than the one provided by the Aheron family.
"This is actually a very good place." Ellia looked around. "This street is one of the busiest, so if we just put a billboard on this building, it will gain people’s attention. A lot of customers will surely come. I’m just afraid that you’re going to get kidnapped looking like that."
"You are joking, right? This is the capital city." Auric chuckled.
Ellia just stared at him with a serious expression.
"..." Auric suddenly shut his mouth and scratched the back of his head. "Well, I guess we can use this. I’ll ask others to help me move the items around. I will open it on the weekends as usual."
"That sounds good. Unfortunately, I can’t send you any men to protect you." Ellia sighed.
"Don’t worry. I already have a person in mind."
"Me? I can help, but at most, I can be your assistant. I’m not strong enough to handle the people here." Milinda pointed at herself.
"It must be Katarina." Ellia squinted her eyes. "Isn’t that why you point out her problem but not fix it yet? You must know that her problem might be more complicated, so she will find out and realize she owes you more."
Auric didn’t say anything, but he learned some of his business ideas from Ellia. This was one of them.
Ellia said, "Katarina is a very good candidate. Her family might not be one of the biggest, but it’s up there. Besides, her personal strength is exceptionally high. It would be good if she were the one protecting you on campus. She is the student council’s vice president after all."
"The first thing you do at Kallarnos University is to bring the vice president of the student council to her knees?" Milinda widened her eyes in shock.
"That’s what I would do if I knew everything." Ellia shrugged. "It’s just a simple trick so that the other party will pay more. I guess that’s a payback for her attitude."
"It’s not. Do you think I care about someone’s attitude? As long as they don’t make trouble for me, I pretty much ignore everything. I don’t like trouble." Auric shrugged.
"I guess that means you still need me?" Milinda asked.
"You know a lot about materials, so I’ll still be relying on you. Unless you want to go around. It’s a very rare chance to be in the capital city after all."
"Not at all. I’m fine. Besides, there are plenty of times after classes." Milinda waved her hand.
Auric nodded. "In that case, I’m counting on you."
Ellia wanted to join since her office was not here, but she couldn’t, especially with her family here.
In the end, she remained silent.
As Ellia said, Auric had made Katarina realize she had to pay more.
This was why Auric ended up meeting her the next day.
Katarina looked at him and gracefully lowered her head. "I was wrong yesterday. Please help me."
