Chapter 125 Countermeasures
Chapter 125 Countermeasures
The quantum shield of the first reconnaissance ship was completely ineffective and was pierced through. The ship began to shatter the moment it touched the Eternal Spear.
The second reconnaissance ship tried to turn and escape, but after the Eternal Spear destroyed the first ship, it defied the laws of physics and reversed its direction, cutting the ship in half.
Tal's third ship turned its engines up to maximum power, but the hyperspace portal was only half open.
"Faster!" Tal shouted.
Just as the ship was about to sink into hyperspace, the Spear of Eternity easily pierced through the main part of the engine. The last thing Tal saw was the Black Sun Heart on the tip of the spear pointing directly at his face, emitting a strange dark red light.
The Holy Lord reached out and retrieved the Spear of Eternity. His gaze swept over the wreckage of the warship floating in space. The light of the Mind Stone in his eyes flickered slightly. Using the soul imprint of Mikwan, the chaos and fear of the Kree Empire at this moment were clearly transmitted.
"Fear is the best beginning to conquest." The Lord's voice traveled along some fundamental cosmic frequency to the distant planet Kree. "Let the fear brew a little longer."
The Holy Lord's figure slowly disappeared from the reopened spatial rift, leaving only three pieces of the still-disintegrating warship wreckage.
The Kree Empire, the core temple of supreme wisdom.
Miyanwa stood in front of the holographic projection, reporting to the Imperial High Council the news of the complete annihilation of the reconnaissance fleet. As she recounted how the Eternal Spear defied the laws of physics to destroy the warship, a faint warmth emanated from the deepest part of her soul, and a barely perceptible energy fluctuation altered the words she used.
Miyanwa's voice unconsciously carried a hint of awe: "According to energy analysis, that weapon may be connected to some kind of cosmic origin power, and conventional defenses are simply ineffective."
The council members exchanged glances, all seeing the same anxiety in each other's eyes. Military Commander Rogge slammed his fist on the table: "We must immediately assemble all our fleets! Establish a forward base in the Nine Realms!"
"And then?" Chief Scientist Zola asked coldly, "Send more soldiers to their deaths? Tal's squad couldn't even withstand a single blow."
Miyanwa sensed another fluctuation emanating from the brand, and she added almost unconsciously, "Perhaps we should think of another way. In the past, the Kree Empire also signed peace treaties with powerful civilizations."
"Are you suggesting we surrender to that tyrant?" Rogge roared.
"Enough." The voice of supreme wisdom interrupted the argument: "Miyanwa, continue with your analysis. Where exactly does the Holy Lord's power come from?"
Miyanwa pulled up a set of data projections: "Combining the intelligence obtained from the dwarves and the information last transmitted back by the reconnaissance ship, we have calculated that the Holy Lord has several kinds of cosmic primordial energy in his hands."
"This is the most dangerous thing." Miyawa magnified the image representing the energy fluctuations of the Mind Stone: "It seems to be a force that can control willpower."
The council fell silent. Zola finally managed to speak: "This is almost the power of a god."
"That's why we need Ragnarok." The sphere of light from the Supreme Intelligence suddenly projected a top-secret file: "Initiate Project Godkiller and invest all resources in the development of quantum annihilation weapons."
Miyanwa felt the imprint in her soul suddenly vibrate violently, as if an extremely strong will was secretly watching the plan through her.
Miyanwa asked, "How long will this take?"
"Three months," the Supreme Wisdom said. "We need to find someone to keep the Holy Lord occupied."
All eyes immediately fell on Mi Yanwa.
"You dealt with that woman named Wanda, and used her to find the Lord's weakness," the Supreme Wisdom said calmly.
Miyanwa lowered his head to accept the order, and the imprint deep in his soul quietly recorded everything that happened here, transmitting the information in real time to the Lord of the Nine Realms, who was far away in the sky.
In the golden palace of Asgard, the Holy Lord stood on the observatory, receiving information transmitted from the soul imprint of Miyanwa. Another person stood quietly behind him, the spell-binding bracelet on his wrist flashing an unstable red light that flickered on and off.
"Master," Wanda suddenly spoke, "I saw shattered stars and a weeping universe."
The Holy Lord turned around and saw that Wanda's eyes had turned completely scarlet, and chaotic energy was creating many tiny spatial rifts around her.
The Lord nodded and placed his hand on Wanda's forehead. The light of the Mind Stone and the chaotic energy met, creating a wondrous resonance.
In that instant, Shendu saw what Wanda saw: many fragments of parallel universes, each containing a different Wanda. These Wandas were all kneeling before a void, and Shendu could sense that the object of their worship was himself.
Interesting. Shendu withdrew his hand, and Wanda's condition immediately returned to normal. Your abilities are slowly becoming stronger.
Wanda knelt on one knee and said respectfully, "I only think about how to better serve my master."
The Holy Lord looked up at the sky, a cold smile playing on his lips: "The Kree Empire has prepared a little thing called the Godslayer to deal with me. Let them build it. When they think they're about to succeed, I'll crush everything to dust. That's the most despairing feeling."
The Holy Lord walked toward the throne, the Spear of Eternity striking the ground with a dull thud each time it touched the ground: "Summon all the lords. It's time to show the Kree Empire how ridiculous their struggles are in the face of true power."
Meanwhile, in the Kree Empire's most hidden laboratory.
Scientists are placing a piece of ancient metal, excavated from deep space, into the center of a massive quantum device. Standing beside the device are twelve modified Skrulls, who can perfectly replicate the energy signatures of any living being.
Chief Scientist Zola reported to the Supreme Intelligence: "If we can obtain a sliver of the Holy Lord's energy sample, we can have the Skrulls simulate a frequency that can counter him."
"Then send them some bait," the Supreme Wisdom coldly replied. "In exchange, use Miyanwa."
Zola hesitated for a moment before saying, "But doing so would mean sacrificing a high-ranking commander."
The Supreme Intelligence did not change its mind: "Sacrifice is necessary for the Empire to survive."
The moment the words of the Supreme Wisdom were spoken, the space inside the hall froze, and Mi Yanwa lowered his head, his face expressionless.
"I understand," Miyanwa said calmly, raising his head. "For the Kree Empire."
The Supreme Wisdom concluded, "Three days from now, you will make your final journey to the Nine Realms. This time, you must be prepared to die. In your final moments before death, a targeted countermeasure will be replicated in the laboratory."
