Chapter 133: The Core Descends! The Cycle of Fate
Chapter 133: The Core Descends! The Cycle of Fate
The blade of light pierced Isaac's chest in the mirror, his figure instantly engulfed in golden light. However, at that very moment, Isaac suddenly felt an intense pressure on his body. He looked down and discovered that his own chest had been pierced by the same black blade of light.
"Do you think you've won?" Isaac's voice in the mirror was deep and cold. Although his body was torn apart by the light, it had not completely disappeared.
Isaac gritted his teeth. He could feel his power rapidly draining away, while his reflection in the mirror remained as strong as ever.
“Your power comes from my shadow,” Isaac in the mirror said slowly. “As long as confusion and contradiction remain in your heart, I cannot be completely destroyed.”
Isaac took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and sank into his inner world. He began to review every choice he had made, every trial he had faced. He saw the world he had destroyed, and the lives that had vanished because of his choices. A complex mix of emotions welled up within him, but soon, he found the answer.
"Confusion and contradictions are part of growing up." Isaac slowly opened his eyes, his gaze revealing an unprecedented determination. "But they cannot define me, nor can they stop me from moving forward."
As he finished speaking, a burst of golden light erupted, completely engulfing Isaac in the mirror. His figure gradually blurred, eventually disappearing entirely into the light.
The surface of the Mirror of Fate returned to calm, and Isaac's figure was reflected in it, becoming clear and resolute.
"You have passed the trial of the Mirror of Destiny." The majestic voice resounded from the void, its tone carrying a hint of approval. "You have finally faced your own heart and transcended the shadows."
Isaac's gaze was calm. He clenched his fist and said in a low voice, "The trial is not over yet. I will go all the way."
As he finished speaking, the light of the Mirror of Destiny gradually dimmed, and his body was once again enveloped in blue light, flying deeper into the core of the dimension.
Blue light enveloped Isaac's body, carrying him from the trials of the Mirror of Fate to a deeper dimensional core. He could feel the surrounding energy constantly shifting, an energy far more profound than any he had sensed in any previous trial, seemingly transcending all rules and order.
“The dimensional core…” Isaac murmured, his gaze growing increasingly profound. “If this is my ultimate trial, then I will never let it stop me.”
As the light faded, he found himself in a completely unfamiliar space. Unlike the chaotic or dilapidated trial grounds he had encountered before, this space was a near-perfect world. Two enormous stars hung in the sky, one radiating intense golden light, the other releasing profound black light; they stood in opposition to each other, yet maintained a delicate balance.
The earth itself is composed of crystalline energy; each step stirs up a faint glow, as if every inch of the ground beneath one's feet contains boundless power. Yet, beneath the tranquility of this world lies a suffocating sense of oppression.
"Finally here, Creator." A solemn yet icy voice echoed in the void.
Isaac's gaze sharpened. He quickly scanned his surroundings but couldn't find the source of the sound. A moment later, a figure gradually emerged in the void—a tall being clad in gold and black armor. His body emanated a powerful aura, and his eyes, like two burning stars, stared directly at Isaac.
"You are..." Isaac asked, his tone wary.
"I am the guardian of the dimensional core, the embodiment of the cycle of fate," the figure said slowly. "From the moment you stepped into the core, every step you took has been watched. And now, you are close to the final answer."
"The final answer?" Isaac sneered, his hands clenching slightly into fists, the power of rules surging within him. "Let me guess, your so-called answer is nothing more than forcing me to submit to the will of the dimensional core and become its slave, isn't it?"
The figure was not angered by Isaac's tone, but slowly nodded: "The freedom of the creator is not boundless. You have witnessed the power beyond the rules and experienced the trials beyond fate, but a true creator must understand the meaning of the core of the dimension. You want to control everything, but do you understand that the pinnacle of power means responsibility and constraints?"
Isaac's gaze was icy as he stared directly at the figure, refusing to back down: "Constraints are the excuse of the weak. True power is breaking free from all limitations. If you think you can use these high-sounding words to make me compromise, you underestimate me."
"Very good." The figure nodded slightly, a hint of coldness in its tone. "In that case, let me see if you are qualified to become a true creator."
As soon as the words were spoken, the entire space suddenly trembled violently. The two stars in the sky began to spin wildly, their golden and black light intertwining to form a massive vortex. An incredibly powerful energy fluctuation emanated from the center of the vortex, and the entire space gradually cracked under the pressure of this force.
Isaac quickly retreated, waving his hands to form a golden barrier of rules around him, blocking the fragmented energy fluctuations. However, he soon discovered that the energy in the vortex was not a simple attack, but rather possessed an essence that transcended the rules, attempting to directly erode his consciousness.
“This power…” Isaac murmured, his gaze sharpening, “is it the fusion of fate and rules?”
He had no time to think. Suddenly, a dazzling light erupted from the center of the vortex, and a colossal beast, woven from golden and black light, flew out. The beast was enormous, its eyes radiating an aura of destruction and creation, and each swing of its claws carried the power to tear everything apart.
"Is this the trial of the dimensional core?" Isaac sneered, waving his hands, and the power of rules quickly condensed, transforming into a huge golden longsword.
The behemoth roared and lunged at Isaac, its massive body tearing through space with its sharp claws, aimed straight for his chest. Isaac did not flinch; he gripped his longsword and slashed at the behemoth's claws to meet its attack.
"boom--"
The two forces collided in mid-air, unleashing a deafening roar. Golden and black light intertwined, forming shockwaves that tore the surrounding space into countless fragments. Isaac was forced back several steps, but his gaze remained calm.
“Not bad strength,” Isaac sneered, “but not enough to make me back down!”
