Chapter 1 The Lord of Slaughter
Qingze looked out the window at the hornet's nest.
The girl beside him was also watching him quietly.
A near-stagnant silence permeated the philosophy club's activity room, making Hoshino Saori feel somewhat uneasy.
She couldn't help but ask, "Teacher, what are you looking at?"
Qingze didn't answer directly, but instead raised his hand, pointed to the conspicuous target on the treetop outside the window, and asked in return, "Tell me, what is that?"
The girl looked in the direction he pointed, her eyes narrowing slightly as she said, "To an ordinary person, that would probably look like a hornet's nest."
Her tone suddenly shifted, taking on a knowing and insightful quality: "But in my eyes, it is a microcosm of the whole world."
99% of the people on Earth are like worker bees in a hive, working tirelessly from birth to death for the 1% who are the most vulnerable.
Sigh, this world is rotten to the core.
Finally, she unconsciously added that sigh she often uttered.
Everyone in this world has their own unique way of being a "chuunibyou" (a person with delusions of grandeur).
Some people fantasize about having extraordinary powers, while others consider themselves philosophers or great poets who can see through people's hearts.
Saori Hoshino is undoubtedly the latter. She often compares herself to Hegel and Nietzsche, and her notebook is filled with what she considers to be philosophical maxims.
Therefore, her remarks were entirely within Qingze's expectations, and at the same time, they confirmed one thing for him.
The large, scarlet lettering that suddenly appeared above the hornet's nest.
Lord of Slaughter
The girl beside him was completely invisible.
what is that?
A barely perceptible hint of doubt flashed across Qingze's eyes.
Given his current mental health, it's impossible for him to be experiencing hallucinations.
Even if it were a hallucination, the content would never contain such strange vocabulary.
Having ruled out his own problems, the remaining answer pointed to the existence he had long awaited.
The time traveler's cheat code.
Qingze is not from this world.
Although the countries, cultures, and historical trajectory of this world are strikingly similar to another world in his memory, there is no Earth here, only the Blue Star.
A country similar to his was called the Xia Kingdom here.
All of this led him to conclude that this was a parallel world.
Moreover, he had always harbored a certain expectation for the appearance of a cheat code.
Because he didn't transmigrate in spirit, but rather his body was transported here.
He remembers clearly that when he closed his eyes and opened them again, his physical age regressed to five years old, and he appeared on the streets of Shinjuku, Tokyo.
He didn't starve to death because he met a kind old man who had no children and took him home.
Of course, due to adult psychological factors, he did not change his surname and continued to use his original name, Qing Ze.
The elderly man did not ask him to change his surname; he simply helped him with his school enrollment as his guardian.
From elementary school to university, he was always the "model child" everyone admired.
He has excellent grades, loves sports, and even tries to practice some fancy qigong techniques.
Although he did not gain any special abilities as a result, his body was always kept in excellent condition.
In high school, he was the ace of the basketball team, leading the team to win the national championship.
After graduation, he went through a lot of ups and downs in finding a job, but eventually found his current high-paying job that allows him to live comfortably without having to curry favor with anyone.
By ordinary standards, this is already a perfect new life.
But Qingze always had a question in his heart: when his body traveled through different worlds, did nothing unusual happen?
And today, this question seems to have finally been answered.
"Hoshino, come with me."
He turned around, preparing to leave the activity room.
Hoshino Saori still pressed her chest against the back of the chair, leaving a gap between her slender waist and the back of the chair, and gently pushed her two feet forward, so that the two front legs of the chair were suspended in the air.
"Teacher, what are we going to do?"
"Wasps are too dangerous, let's go and get rid of them."
Qingze answered calmly.
Since that thing has such a clear red mark, will removing it trigger some kind of reward mechanism?
This idea sparked his intense curiosity.
A look of sorrow and compassion appeared on Hoshino Saori's face as she sighed, "Alas, humans, they always take it for granted to invade the territory of animals and then use high-sounding reasons to hunt and kill them."
"Don't worry, I'll buy protective suits to make sure we don't get stung."
Qingze continued talking to himself, completely ignoring what the other person was saying.
He walked to the entrance and quickly changed into his outdoor shoes.
Seeing his resolute attitude, Hoshino Saori stopped sitting lazily, stood up nimbly, and quickly followed him.
The weight of her E-cup breasts prevented her from running fast, otherwise the swaying would cause severe pain.
Hoshino Saori came to the entrance hall, took off her indoor shoes, and her feet, wrapped in white stockings, looked delicate and petite, like cool and sweet ice cream in summer.
She changed into outdoor shoes and left the activity room with Qingze.
If you want to buy a full set of protective gear, you can't find it around the school; you'll need to go to a large shopping mall near Shinjuku Station.
To save time, Aozawa took a taxi and went with Hoshino Saori.
He chose to bring her along mainly because he wasn't sure of the exact size of the protective suit the girl was wearing.
All I know is that she is 1.64 meters tall, but I have no idea about her bust or hip measurements. If I buy the wrong size and she gets stung by wasps, that would be no small matter.
After finishing their shopping, the two took a taxi back to school.
It was already evening, and the setting sun had painted the clouds on the horizon a brilliant orange-red. The campus was quiet, and it wasn't yet time to close the gates.
Qingze quickly put on protective clothing, a bee hat, and thick gloves, and then borrowed two engineering ladders from the sports warehouse.
"Wait, I'll count to three, and then we'll spray the hive together."
"it is good."
Saori Hoshino nodded and climbed the construction ladder first, her heart pounding with a mixture of tension and excitement.
This was the first time she had done something so "out of line" with her teacher, and she couldn't help but worry, "Teacher, is there anything wrong with the quality of this protective suit?"
She certainly didn't want to appear on the news as someone who "died from a hornet's nest while working with a teacher, due to substandard protective clothing," followed by the company representative holding a press conference and bowing deeply in apology.
"You need to have some faith in big brands."
"Isn't fraud by our large corporations a part of our traditional culture?"
"This was made in Xia Kingdom."
"Oh."
Saori Hoshino felt much more at ease.
Qingze climbed up another ladder, stretched out his arm, and whispered, "Three, two, one!"
The two sprayed insecticide on both sides of the beehive at the same time.
At this time of day, wasps are almost all gathered inside their nests.
They continued spraying to ensure the pesticide effectively eliminated the bee colony.
After spraying the wasps, Hoshino Saori didn't see any more flying out and couldn't help but sigh softly, "Life... is so fragile."
Qingze didn't reply. Feeling that he had sprayed enough, he put away the insecticide and reminded him, "Okay, you can go now. Be careful not to fall."
"Oh."
Hoshino Saori responded and began to carefully move downwards.
She couldn't see what was under her feet.
Fortunately, she has gotten used to this inconvenience over the past two years and relies on her sense of touch to steadily walk down the steps.
Chapter 2 Power Increase
Qingze stood in the middle of the engineering ladder, staring intently at the grayish-brown hornet's nest, or more precisely, the line of scarlet text above the nest.
He watched as the color of the lettering gradually darkened, and the edges flickered and rippled slightly like a faulty light strip.
It seemed to be a silent indication that the wasps in the nest were nearing the end of their lives.
What would happen if they all died?
He held his breath, his gaze becoming even more focused.
Suddenly, the four characters twisted and collapsed, merging into a scorching red stream of light that shot precisely into his brow with lightning speed.
A warm current immediately burst forth from between his eyebrows, cascading down like a waterfall and quickly sweeping through his limbs and bones.
The feeling was indescribably pleasant, like being doused with a bucket of cool ice water on the sweltering summer heat, opening every pore and causing him to let out a satisfied sigh uncontrollably.
