Chapter 99 Spending the Night at Severus Snape's House
Chapter 99 Spending the Night at Severus Snape's House
“It’s something they would do.” Severus listened calmly as I recounted what had happened, sipping his coffee.
"Didn't Severus see Peter Pediru here?" I was very curious how Severus could be so calm, as if he could guess their fate.
“I saw it, but why should I tell them? Apart from Lily, I don’t seem to know the others very well.” Severus doesn’t love Lily now; he only cares about her as a little sister.
“Indeed.” I smiled and took a sip of my coffee.
"How are you doing, Siever? Your dark circles have gotten much worse. Haven't you been sleeping well?" I put down my coffee, walked over to Siever, and stared into his eyes.
"No, I've just been a bit busy," Severus said, swishing his coffee cup away from my eyes.
"No matter how busy you are, you must get enough rest. Health is the most important thing." She took his coffee with both hands and placed it on the table, then plopped down next to him.
I cast a spell on him without a staff, causing him to faint. He was completely unprepared and just collapsed unconscious.
I caught him like that and let him sleep directly on my lap. Then I took a blanket out of my backpack and covered him with it.
I'm speechless when I see his hair. It's been so long since he's taken care of himself. I should just give him a "clean-up" so he'll feel more comfortable sleeping with his hair clean.
Is this all the tasks Riddle is giving him? He looks like he hasn't slept well for days.
I didn't know that this had nothing to do with Riddle. It was actually because of me that he hadn't received any messages from me and Lily, so he had been worried and hadn't been sleeping well.
Looking at his sleeping face, I gently stroked his furrowed brows.
He merged with the blood of the elven race, transforming into a silver-haired elven youth with a slender and elegant figure.
Her long, silver hair cascaded down the sofa like a waterfall, with some falling onto Severus.
Each strand of hair looks as if it were woven from the purest silver threads, delicate and smooth.
The pointed ears, slightly upturned, revealed their elven lineage.
Her face became delicate and beautiful, and her skin was as white as alabaster.
His eyes were deep and bright, like stars twinkling in the night sky.
I just stared at Severus like that.
His eyes held a mysterious aura, as if he could see through everything.
Her magician's robe transformed into a green robe embroidered with exquisite patterns that seemed to be masterpieces of nature, blending perfectly with her body.
Suddenly remembering the "Hedwig Variations" I had heard in my past life, I began to hum it softly in the voice of an elf.
The voices of the elves have a sacred and soothing quality, especially when combined with the tune I'm humming.
Severus was deeply soothed into sleep, his furrowed brows gradually relaxing as if he were having a sweet dream.
When Severus woke up, he was sleeping on the sofa, covered with a blanket.
He didn't see me and assumed I had left, feeling a little disappointed.
"Severus, wake up! Come and eat, I've already made it." After Severus fell asleep, I went out to buy some groceries and came back to cook a sumptuous dinner.
The table was laden with a variety of delicious dishes, including braised pork ribs, stir-fried vegetables, and tomato and egg soup.
Each dish exudes an enticing aroma that makes your mouth water.
The braised pork ribs are a vibrant reddish-brown color, with tender, juicy meat and a rich, savory flavor. Each rib is thoroughly cooked and infused with flavor; the meat easily falls off the bone with a gentle bite, leaving you wanting more.
Stir-fried vegetables are refreshing and delicious, with a variety of vegetables combined together, creating a vibrant and nutritious dish.
Tomato and egg soup is sweet and sour, which is very appetizing. The freshness of the eggs and the sweet and sour taste of the tomatoes are perfectly combined, which makes people's appetite increase.
It's just the two of us eating, so we don't need to cook too much. I'm a very frugal person.
"Hmm." Severus thought I had already left, but it turned out he had gone to cook. Since his mother left, he had never had a warm meal in this house.
"Here, have some soup, eat more." I handed Severus a bowl and spoon, and remembering that he couldn't use chopsticks, I also got him a fork.
"It's delicious." Severus's eyes were a little moist from the steam of the soup.
"Eat quickly, eat more, then take a good shower and go to sleep. Anything you need to do can wait until tomorrow. Don't exhaust yourself." I picked up a piece of braised pork rib, blew on it, and put it to his lips.
"It's delicious, I can do it myself." The current Severus is not used to me feeding him. If it were the real-world version, he would have been used to it by me.
We enjoyed the delicious food, and when we finished eating, Severus took over the task of washing the dishes. It was the first time I had ever seen Severus wash dishes, but he did it quite efficiently; he must have washed a lot of dishes when he was a child.
"Are you staying at my place tonight?" Severus asked me as he washed the dishes.
"Want to sleep with you?" I teased him jokingly, sensing that the shy Severus wouldn't agree.
"If you don't mind, that's fine." Severus didn't even dare to look in my direction.
"Of course I can." She chuckled as she looked at Severus, whose ears were bright red as he washed the dishes.
Although he had helped Severus obtain some Galleons as compensation, Severus still seemed to be very frugal.
Her entire outfit seemed to be black, even her pajamas were black.
Yes, we've already showered separately. I really wanted to shower with Severus, but he wouldn't allow it.
I now understand why Riddle was annoyed when he looked at me.
It's so tragic that you can look at it but not eat it.
Severus and I lay in bed, the room filled with a faint scent of herbs.
Moonlight streamed through the window, casting our silhouettes upon us.
Severus was silent for a moment, then said, "Sometimes, I feel very lonely."
A wave of heartache washed over me. "You're not alone. You still have me by your side."
He turned his head, looked into my eyes, and said, "Thank you."
We lay quietly in bed, enjoying the tranquility of the moment.
The moonlight shone on us, as if draping us in a silver veil.
“You know what?” Severus suddenly said, “I once thought I would be alone for the rest of my life.”
I gently stroked his hair. "You're not alone anymore."
He took my hand. "Yes, I am no longer alone."
We looked at each other and smiled, then hugged each other tightly.
On this quiet night, we kept each other company and felt each other's warmth.
After a good night's sleep, the next day, after we finished breakfast, I left this time travel with Mingyue. This was probably the last time I would travel through time this holiday.
After the exams are over and I'm on vacation, I'll probably have to start planning to welcome a new batch of junior students next semester.
