"What? You've found another special delicacy?" Beerus's eyes lit up, his tone softened instantly, and an expression of interest appeared on his face.
“Of course, I’ll show you right now!” Xiangpa said, immediately taking out four oddly shaped eggs from the space behind him and carefully placing them on a delicate plate. “These are the eggs of the Frozen Bird that I just discovered. Give them a try.”
Beerus eagerly took the egg, tapped it lightly with his finger, and cracked the shell. He peeled off the shell, revealing the tender egg white and yolk inside, and carefully tasted it.
After eating an egg, Beerus's eyes lit up, he nodded repeatedly, smacked his lips, and had an expression of pure enjoyment on his face, feeling that the taste was simply indescribable.
"Not bad, not bad." Beerus nodded in approval, but his eyes were fixed on the eggshell next to the table, and he unconsciously licked his lips.
“It’s alright, these eggshells are edible.” Champa chuckled, picked up an eggshell and handed it to Beerus, his eyes full of pride.
Beerus: "..."
You can eat eggshells?
“These eggs are different from other eggs. The shell tastes like cartilage. You should try it.” Champa smiled smugly, picked up a piece of eggshell and put it in his mouth, crunching away.
Beerus hesitated for a moment, watching Champa eat with relish, but in the end he couldn't resist the temptation, picked up the eggshell and put it in his mouth, crunching it down.
Upon tasting it, Beerus's eyes lit up again, and a look of surprise appeared on his face.
I never expected that the shell of this egg would taste so good; it's crispy, delicious, and has a unique aroma.
"How about it, Beerus!" Champa became even more smug, puffing out his chest with an expression that said, "Praise me!"
"Hmm, okay," Beerus mumbled, then picked up another eggshell and started eating.
"But speaking of which, where are the delicacies your universe prepared? Hurry up and bring them out so I can have a taste." Champa licked his lips, looked around, and urged.
“No, don’t you know I’ve been sleeping all these years? How could I have time to prepare delicious food?” Beerus chuckled, put down the eggshell in his hand, and said casually.
Xiangpa: "..."
Champa immediately felt terrible; his face fell, as if he had been doused with cold water.
That's really going too far.
"Didn't we agree to have a culinary contest after you woke up?" Champa said angrily, spitting all over Beerus's face as he spoke.
Vegeta's heart skipped a beat, and he was about to say that there were many delicious foods on Earth when Beerus raised his hand to wipe his face and spoke first.
"Hmph, it's much more interesting to have a real battle than to engage in such a meaningless contest of food." Beerus chuckled lightly, carefully wiping the spittle off his face with a handkerchief, a sly glint in his eyes.
"Real combat? What do you mean?" Champa was taken aback, blinked, and looked at Beerus with some confusion.
“As a God of Destruction, it’s certainly more interesting to have a one-on-one battle, don’t you think?” Beerus’s smile grew even brighter, his eyes flashing with a provocative light.
Xiangpa: "..."
Xiangpa swallowed hard, his eyes darting around. He immediately felt a bit intimidated and instinctively took a half-step back.
“Beelzebub, you need to understand one thing: we are both gods of destruction. If we really fight, the entire universe might be shattered,” Champa said hastily, trying to find an excuse to back down.
“I knew you’d say that.” Beerus chuckled, casually pointing to Frieza and Vegeta, who were still locked in a standoff. “See those two? How about this, you find two people from your universe to fight them! What do you say?”
Champa and Vados had already noticed Vegeta and Frieza, and upon hearing Beerus's words, they immediately looked at the two again, carefully observing their aura and condition.
There was a brief silence.
“Okay, we’ll do it your way!” Champa readily agreed, thinking that these two people didn’t seem like much, and that he could probably handle it by randomly finding two people from his universe.
“Two against two! I’ll be waiting for you here. Hurry up and bring them over.” Beerus’s lips curled up, his smile growing even brighter, as if victory was already assured.
"Wait a minute! Don't be in such a hurry." Champa snorted and waved his hand.
"What? If you don't have confidence, then forget it." Beerus said calmly, deliberately trying to provoke him.
"What I mean is, are we just going to have to do this?" Champa grumbled, his eyes darting around. "Aren't we going to get something else?"
"What would you like?" Beerus asked, looking at Champa with some confusion.
“In our two universes, there are seven magical beads that can grant any wish. The loser must unconditionally give the beads from their universe to the other universe.” Champa chuckled, revealing his idea, his eyes gleaming with greed.
“A magical bead? What is that?” Beerus frowned, having never heard of it.
“It’s the Super Dragon Balls,” Vegeta said, his tone serious.
“Super Dragon Balls?” Beerus turned to look at Vegeta, signaling him to continue.
"As far as I know, the Super Dragon Balls are distributed across Universe 7 and Universe 6. Once you collect them all, any wish can be granted," Vegeta replied calmly.
“That kid is right, that’s exactly right.” Champa nodded in agreement, adding, “The losing side is not allowed to interfere with the other side’s search for the Super Dragon Balls in the other’s universe.”
“Sure, of course no problem.” Beerus immediately agreed, finding the suggestion quite interesting.
"What a wonderful decision!" Champa exclaimed excitedly, rubbing his hands together, his eyes gleaming with determination.
I have found six Super Dragon Balls.
Just one more stone and we'll have a complete set.
Originally, Champa secretly carried out this act while Beerus was asleep.
It took nearly 40 years to finally collect all six.
Of course, the main reason is that when Xiangpa does this kind of thing, it's like fishing for three days and drying the nets for two.
I thought of it today and decided to go to Universe 7 to scavenge a Dragon Ball.
If I forget about it tomorrow, I'll just put it aside and go find some delicious food.
If Champa had focused all his energy on finding the Dragon Balls, he would have collected them all and fulfilled his wish long ago.
However, what's giving Champa a bit of a headache right now is that Beerus has woken up.
According to Champa, the last Dragon Ball is in Universe 7.
Stealing a Dragon Ball from Universe 7 without Beerus noticing is probably more complicated than it seems.
Taking the Dragon Ball openly through a competition is a very good option.
"Wait a minute!" Vegeta said quickly, stepping forward with a determined look in his eyes.
"What? Is there something else?" Champa looked at Vegeta and asked impatiently.
"Two-on-two matches are so boring. Why don't we just pick five people from each universe to compete?" Vegeta snorted and voiced his opinion.
“Okay.” Beerus readily agreed, giving Vegeta an approving look.
Vegeta is quite perceptive, isn't he?
Two-on-two does indeed carry some risk.
If it's five against five...
In addition to Goku and Broly, there's also Goku's son, Gohan.
You could win with your eyes closed.
Actually, no one else needs to participate in the competition. One Goku could wipe out the entire Universe 6, right?
"How about it, Champa? Can you muster five people?" Beerus asked with a smile, his tone slightly teasing.
"Tch, it's just five people! I'll go back and bring them over right away!" Xiangpa, of course, wouldn't object, and said defiantly, his face full of resentment.
"Lord Champa, are you really sure? If we lose, the Dragon Balls we've collected with such difficulty will probably be handed over to someone else." Vados lowered her voice and whispered in Champa's ear.
"Hmph, didn't you see what those two guys did? They looked pretty ordinary. Our universe should be able to win easily." Champa smiled smugly, patted his chest, and said confidently.
Bardos didn't speak, but just shook her head helplessly.
“Then let’s hold the competition five days from now on a planet where our two universes meet,” Beerus proposed calmly.
“No problem.” Champa nodded in agreement, eager to go back and prepare.
"call out!"
A dazzling light emanated from Bardos's body, as brilliant as a shooting star. With a gentle wave of her scepter, she and Champa transformed into a streak of light and instantly left the planet Beerus.
"Who does Mr. Vegeta intend to send to participate in the competition?" Whis asked with a smile, his gaze fixed on Vegeta.
"Hmph, of course it's Kakarot. Besides that guy, we can just find two other people," Vegeta replied, his eyes filled with anticipation.
"What do you think, Lord Beerus?" Whis asked Beerus again, respectfully awaiting his decision.
"Anyway, let's go find Goku first." Beerus thought for a moment and felt that having Goku participate in the competition was indeed a good choice.
It would be best to bring Broly along as well.
That would be safer.
However, in theory, as long as Sun Wukong participates in the competition, there shouldn't be any major problems.
That guy's strength has surpassed that of Champa.
Who in Universe 6 could be stronger than Champa?
"Sun Wukong!" Frieza gritted his teeth upon hearing Sun Wukong's name, his eyes flashing with resentment and hatred.
"Whis, go and bring Goku and Broly over, and then have Goku bring his son over," Beerus suggested, his tone carrying a hint of command.
"Yes, Lord Beerus." Whis readily agreed, tapping his scepter lightly on the ground with a crisp sound, and bursting with brilliant flames, he was about to go find Goku immediately.
"I'm going back too!" Vegeta suddenly said, taking off his weighted suit, which fell heavily to the ground with a dull thud.
"Whatever." Beerus didn't object, lazily stretching with a hint of drowsiness in his eyes.
"call out!"
Whis, carrying Vegeta, transformed into a dazzling flame like a star, leaving a long trail of light as they swiftly departed from Planet Beerus and disappeared into the depths of space.
Only Beerus and Frieza remained at the scene, and the world of the God of Destruction returned to a moment of tranquility, with only the rustling of the wind through the grass.
Frieza's eyes darted around, and a plan suddenly came to mind. He quickly stepped forward, bowed respectfully, and bowed deeply.
"What is it?" Beerus asked, glancing sideways at Frieza with a hint of impatience in his voice, his tail swaying gently behind him.
"Lord Beerus, I'd like to visit the other dimension you mentioned," Frieza suggested, his eyes filled with a mixture of anticipation and trepidation.
"Go if you want, but don't let it interfere with the match." Beerus snorted and waved his hand, seemingly too lazy to say anything more.
"Thank you, Lord Beerus!" Frieza was thrilled, his face beaming with undisguised excitement, and he bowed deeply once more.
"Knowing his own shortcomings, going there to train properly is a good option." Beerus nodded slightly, then waved his hand, signaling Frieza to get lost.
Actually, this is quite good; it allows me to take a nap.
They're not home!
