Chapter 426: Initiation Realm
Chapter 426: Initiation Realm
Inside the Crimson Flame Palace, everything seemed normal.
Disciples were moving around the sect while doing their daily routine when suddenly they felt the heard little rumbling in the sky and before any of them could even look up to see the reason, a deafening sound reverberated through the whole sect.
BOOOOOMMMMMM!
CRACKKKK!
A massive tail of a flood dragon struck the protective barrier surrounding the Crimson Flame Palace sect.
The crackling sound was enough for everyone inside the sect to understand that in a few more strikes the barrier would break if nothing was done to prevent it.
"Who dares to attack us..."
Wei Han came out of his abode immediately followed by the supreme elders and other elders. One of the elders saw the condition of the protective barrier and went to replenish the spirit stones to reinforce it while the others squinted their eyes looking at the seven beasts flying above their sect.
They had heard about these beasts, the seven protectors of the Frozen Heart Sect.
All of them immediately understood the situation, the time had come.
It was something which was bound to happen, they had thoroughly discussed what they would do if the Frozen Heart Sect attacked them and it was time to face it.
Wei Han flew a little higher and looked at the beasts which were looking at him menacingly.
He was very shocked by the last attack as it proved that the attack used by this flood dragon looking snake was far stronger than a usual beast of its realm.
It meant that the bloodline of this beast was immensely powerful. No wonder it looked like a flood dragon as it definitely was close to becoming one.
He wondered how the Frozen Heart Sect got their hands on it, taming a grade nine beast was almost impossible, much less a beast which was equivalent to a flood dragon.
"ROOOOAR—!"
Wei Han trembled out of his thoughts as he heard the ear piercing roar, he bowed his head.
"Calm your anger, esteemed ones, we don’t want to fight with you... we surrender."
This was the only way of survival they had, fighting against the Frozen Heart Sect wasn’t even possible even if they didn’t count Lin Feng as their enemy.
The Crimson Flame Palace was never known for their strength, they were only good at alchemy and weapon refinement. Their biggest strength was the relationships they had developed till now, not only in the Southern Region but also the Eastern Region.
Alas, after the Frozen Heart Sect took over the Eastern Region, no one would dare to help them, even the major powers of the Southern Region had silently made this clear to them in the last few months. So surrendering was their only hope.
When the disciples of the Crimson Flame Palace saw their sect master bowing his head and surrendering, they weren’t able to believe it.
How could a mighty sect like them just surrender without any resistance? They felt injustice in their hearts but none of them opened their mouths to show their displeasure.
"Surrender?"
A soothing voice was heard by everyone in the Crimson Flame Palace.
Wei Han immediately looked towards the source and found Xuan Lian, Zi Mei and the other elders of the Frozen Heart Sect flying beside the flood dragon. He looked around but didn’t find Xuan Xue, well it didn’t matter.
"Yes, surrender—"
"I think you misunderstood something..." Xuan Lian shook her head. "We aren’t here for negotiations..."
As Xuan Lian finished her sentence, all the beasts attacked, and this was the beginning of utter destruction.
A few moments later, one of the three biggest sects of this world, the Crimson Flame Palace, was no more.
Soon the news of the massacre spread everywhere in the world.
After this news, everyone accepted the fact that the Frozen Heart Sect was the sole ruler of this world.
...
Xuan Xue returned back to the sect before anyone else.
Lin Feng was absorbing spirit stones to recover his qi while Mu Yao was also sitting beside him with a half eaten fruit in her hand.
"That was faster than I had expected..." Lin Feng was a little surprised seeing them come back so early.
"They were surrendering already... so they weren’t able to put up much of a fight..." Xuan Xue looked at the single rune drawn on the ground beside the tree and raised her eyebrows. "Don’t tell me drawing only this single rune drained all of your qi?"
She came to that conclusion as she didn’t see any complete node.
Lin Feng chuckled slightly. "Indeed, this one is even more complex..."
Xuan Xue smiled wearily. "How big this array is?"
Lin Feng stood up and landed near the rune. "At least a little smaller than the previous one..."
"Little smaller, huh... that didn’t sound reassuring. It seems that I have to break through now..."
Xuan Xue could already feel her breakthrough, even a small amount of meditation on the Chaos Laws would trigger it.
Lin Feng nodded. "If you are ready then you should do it, master, the change you would feel after reaching the Initiation Realm is heaven defying..."
He still remembered the moment he had broken through in the past. The absorption of immortal qi made him feel like he had been living in an illusion of strength before.
The change from spirit qi to immortal qi wasn’t only in purity and density, it was a change in existence itself.
It was even more profound change from a real mortal becoming a cultivator. A single strand of immortal qi would overwhelm thousands of mortal spirit qi strands.
That was why the moment one broke free from their mortal state and all their spirit qi was replaced by immortal qi, they felt that they could bring the heavens down with a wave of their hands.
Xuan Xue was intrigued, she hadn’t seen anyone who had reached the Initiation Realm, even her master left for another world to take the last step due to the weaker laws of this world.
"Alright then, I am going to do it now..."
